Drafted by Cowboys NFL Draft: Day 3 thread

no...you didn't.
6'1 222 LB?
That's not big

Example
"

Shemar James LB, FLA

OVR RK: 277 • POS RK: 24 • HT: 6-1 • WT: 222

LB who looks like a built safety. Super-smooth movements on the field. He plays much more athletically than his workout. Smooth hip flips in coverage and has plus route-recognition skills. Just not a natural ball skills type. Has severely tackling reliability issues too. Those nuances are likely why he was still available yet the upside is undoubtedly there.

I would take another RB in the 6th or 7th round. A Thunder for Jaydon Blue's Lightning...maybe Ollie Gordon, Raheim Sanders, or one of the Michigan guys. Get Miles Sanders outta here!

Much rat
Blue only had around 200 carries in his two years, and most of his runs are outside the tackles.... not sure what they were looking for in picking this guy up. He is not a bruiser.

Shemar James, did not have to trade up for him. he is a situational LB. He would of been there at 174. Better LBs were on the board.

Not sure how I feel about this 5th round. More miss than hit IMO but we have taken Giddens

Devin Neal?

Every single pic right now is a reach. You don’t know what you’re going to get. Somebody has to be second third string.

There are a half dozen sites calling him one of the biggest steals in the draft. Cowboys got A, A+ or Elite grades from the top draft sites for picking him
I haven't seen that. I'm surprised, though.

I mean, I don't know how players are going to turn out, so I try not to be too critical. I just think there was better talent on the board without trading up. Apparently, Dallas' scouts liked him enough to trade away a pick to get him.

Watson is toast
Kenny Pickett is Kenny Pickett
Gabriel was great in college, but he is 5'11 with questionable arm strength
Joe Flacco is ancient.
If Sanders has his head on straight, he has the skill set to compete.
Watson is going on IR this year but they have to keep him on the roster next year. Flacco is almost certainly the starter as neither rookie is considered pro ready but only 1 of them is likely to make the roster.

Gabriel is almost certainly going to make the roster as they liked him 2 rounds ahead of Sanders and you aren’t cutting your 3rd round pick. Maybe Sanders can beat out Pickett for 3rd string.
