Thinking about it I kind of get why the Cowboys traded to 12 now. They had to know the Bears were looking to trade up so they had to know they would swap with Giants if they did not take their deal and take a QB which means the Cowboys effectively give up nothing and get an extra 3rd.
Yeah.. keep believing that.

Giant got their 1st(#20), next years number 1 and a 5th rd pick.
Great deal for NJ.

So basically, we got a third from the Eagles. But if we had just drafted Fields, we would have gotten a first and a fourth from the Bears. Or more.

Instead, the Giants got it.

We've already lost this draft.
A future first

NE doesn't need to trade with us. They're going to get Jones where they are anyway.

THEY MOVED 9 SPOTS.

Of course they were going to get more in return.

Dallas likely didn't have that offer from Chicago.

If Dallas didn't have the offer it would be because no phone call was made. There's no reason to think Chicago would pay that amount to move up to #12 but wouldn't pay that amount to get to #10

so in the end an NFC East team got Smith, we only moved back 2 spot and pick up another day 2 pick
Oh yeah we were going to see Smith either way - at least we got a 3rd in return.

Now wether you deal with Philly is another conversation.

Good for the Bears though. High price to pay....but they got a great prospect...could be the Deshaun Watson of this draft.
