Yes but they were saved from the CB debacle and then gave the Eagles a great WR so I'm conflicted.

We didn’t give them anything. Either the Eagles or Giants were getting Smith. There’s zero question about it. Had they not traded down, the Giants were taking him. With the trade the Eagles were still going to get him. We got a third round pick and it cost us absolutely nothing. As it turned out, the Eagles gave up a third round pick for a player they would’ve had anyway.

Given the depth chart at LB this was just as much a major need as corner. With Horn and PS gone this was enevitable. Throw in the 3rd for trading down and its a win.

I don’t know if as big a need but CB wasn’t an option and we got a stud who means we don’t have to give LVE 9 mil
