Draft Day ***NFL Draft Rounds 4-7***

If they wanted an OG, Kraemer would have made more sense. ND OL are well coached and have good track records in NFL.

But 7th round so who cares.

Overview
Farniok has three-position flexibility but will likely play guard or center as a pro. He has a long frame with decent proportions and can fit gap and zone schemes. There's room for continued growth as a run blocker but his pass protection is below average. He has a shot to earn a role as a backup interior offensive lineman.
Strengths
  • Two-time team captain.
  • Has experience at tackle, guard and center.
  • Impressive short-area quickness testing.
  • Adequate wingspan and strength.
  • Patient not to rush the fit into double teams.
  • Runs feet through contact.
  • Has enough quickness to get to his second-level target.
  • Can drop a quick pass anchor.

I think I predicted the wrong player from tolkiens universe

I am thinking now they are drafting all of the Tree Ents due to their height
Better than listening to the songs of Tom Bombadil.

You get a chance to check out the Russian version of LOTR?

Farniok has played right tackle, center, and guard. Cowboys love these linemen with position flex so he has a better chance of sticking than we might think.

A QB would have made for a more interesting end but there will be many available after the draft.

Know nothing about him but it’s all a crapshoot this time.

We will see who the UDFA’s are.

If you consider that Cox, Wright and Mukuamu could all be converted to safety, the Cowboys addressed every position of need.

Looking at it another way:

2 OL - drafted both OT & OG late in the draft
1 WR - drafted big, tall, speedy WR that can challenge Brown & Wilson for #4 & #5 WR position.
3 DL - drafted DE, DE/DT mixed player, and DT1
2 LB - drafted top LB in draft, and best cover LB in draft
3 Defensive Secondary - drafted 3 Corners, including a top 4 CB in 2nd round, and then two CB's that may convert to FS or play corner

8 Defensive players, and two backup OL and one back-up WR with special teams ability
