We got another doozy of a London Game. Will be interested in seeing how Drake Maye plays this morning and that's about it.

Daniels and Williams are looking like balllers and Maye is on his way...yet apparently it's impossible to draft a good quarterback!
Picking in the top 3 helps buts its random.

Case in point on the other side is the “can’t miss” number 1 pick Trevor Lawrence, whose best claim is objectively the best of the 5 1st round QBs in his class despite being at best the 16th best QB right now.

And he also had the best hair of all the QB's in his draft class.

Even Nix has been half decent this year. Not throwing bombs but good decision making that’s helped a defensive football team win

In Europe, NFL games are mostly on Sky (sister network to Fox). This game is on Virgin Media Two with terrible commentary.

Neither team able to run so far other than the Maye scamper.

two nice drives by the Pats though

I agree it helps picking in the top 3 but it isn't a closed shop. Mahomes was #10n Rodgers was a late first rounder and Jackson was also a second rounder.

I think Lawrence has largely played on a bad team. One of those where it's hard to quantify how good he is but he's higher than #16 for me. Look at guys like Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. They played on bad teams yet once they are given an opportunity for a good team they play like top 10 quarterbacks.

Flip side is there are quarterbacks who when drafted landed on their feet with offensive powerhouses on good teams and are massively overrated and overpaid as a result.

Fwiw, both QBs playing very well in the early game
Just one game though

I think New England has the rare combo of worst WR group in NFL and one of worst offensive lines

They have some work to do in coming years

THREAD IS FOR NON DALLAS GAMES, NOT UNDERHANDED COMMENTS ABOUT CERTAIN QB OR TEAM
ALREADY DELETING TOO MAKY POSTS. MANY OTHER THREADS TO MAKE THOSE COMMENTS IN.

I've got 10 bucks on the Jags - 3 with a friend. We have all kinds of small bets every week. Otherwise I wouldn't even put a lot of these games on. However, this London game isn't that bad at all.
