[/font]Kathrin Platz was named Thursday to head operations for the Hamburg Sea Devils, NFL Europe's newest team.
The Sea Devils replace the Scottish Claymores in the NFL's six-team European developmental league. The Claymores folded after last season.
Platz has been serving as the new team's marketing director and deputy general manager.
"Kathrin has been instrumental in getting the Sea Devils organization prepared for their first season," said Jim Connelly, NFL Europe's managing director.
The Sea Devils open the season on April 2 at the Cologne Centurions. Their first home game is April 16 against the Rhein Fire.
