I think Downs would probably be most impactful. I was pretty high on Theniemam too. So I dunno man.

I'm not sure. Both of those players have had trouble with injury, and I think if Downs slips enough, Thieneman could be in play at 20 if we went with Styles at 12.

I think that’s exactly the guys that would go after 10 in this scenario too. Best case for us.
I can’t believe once an again we are at that place in the draft where we have to pray a guy comes to us. Doesn’t matter if it’s 17 or 12 or 4….lol

I have Giants going offense. Harbaugh doesn’t strike me as someone who would be that high on an off ball linebacker. Styles getting past Commanders is tough to envision. But they need pass rusher too. I don’t know I can see anyone honestly lol

OK, lets for a second pretend he's right. Downs, Styles, Delane etc.. are all there.
So make the call, who's your pick at 12? And why him over the others?

IMO, SS and CD are the best 2 (non lineman) defensive players in this draft.

So I'd take Styles over Downs and then try to get one of the remaining top CB's or S's at 20.
I just think Styles is going to be a monster, especially in this system. And if Downs does have a knee issue that shortens his career, even if only a couple years, spending the #12 pick on that guy vs a full career with Styles isn't something I'd like to do.

Downs isn’t the Swiss Army knife kind of player Hamilton is. Hamilton has logged snaps at LB, SS, FS and CB for the Ravens. Downs isn’t that type.

Not that it should diminish Downs as Hamilton is a unique guy that doesn’t come along very often.

They should probably sign two linebackers and draft one - I don't think what they do in FA would matter much re: Styles.

Theineman is around 6-0, 200.

He’s not logging snaps at LB like Hamilton who is 6-4, 220.

Hamilton should not be the standard we look to for these guys.

If that should happen, would take Styles and then if Downs continues to fall a few picks I would try and move to 16/17 area and take Downs. Would be a dream come true.

Take who your scouts say is the best player.

No decision should be based on having Overshown and Dean. Dean is frequently hurt, and Overshown has missed roughly 2/3rds of his career.
