NFL expected to push for 4 team Euro Division?

Hopefully most are in the British isles. Dublin, Edinburgh, Londonx2

Would suck royally if you grew up in Oklahoma, played your 4 years at Texas Tech and then the NFL tells you you’re moving to Germany.
If I was making NFL Jack, I wouldn’t mind living in some of those beautiful scenic areas in South Germany. Or Switzerland in the mountains and rivers. The German women are babes too!

Main thing I would hate is the jet lag from the away games. If I were the head coach, I would be pissed because of an unfair advantage from teams who didn’t fly as much.

I used to watch NFL Europe. Felt like a minor league system for the NFL. Especially post-Aikman and pre-Romo when there was always a Jethro QB project to watch. LOL

More beer and bratwurst fraulein!

I get it from the NFL standpoint. More money, Europe expansion etc.

But, why not try to expand a team to the north, before going across the Atlantic?
Sure, Europe fans have come out in droves for the handful of games over there. But it's a few times a year.
What happens when a team gets placed there, struggles to sign FA and sucks like the Browns? Will people still go and watch their "home" team with a roster that is bottom in the league?

It's a 8 hour time zone difference between California and England. The flights for a team like the Rams, Seattle, 49ers etc is 10+ hours non stop.

I hope it doesn't go through. Stick with the handful of games over there with the teams like the Jags

Europe isn't exactly Europe anymore, namely Germany, France, the UK, etc. Without getting political, I don't know what kind of appetite there is for American football in these countries and frankly it's ripe for major security concerns.

Didn't the NBA travel this exact path and watered down the product with three pointers and no defense and is now losing audience share?
If the NBA dumped the 3 pointer, I would be watching daily. But that's a me thing. I'm not trying to criticize anything. I liked it better when the objective was to get the highest percentage shot closest to the basket. If not, kick it out for an open jumper. Not way out 3 pointer length. I'm sure people love this perimeter game. It's just not for me.

There is no way Jerry Jones would ever agree to leave a division with three NFL “blue blood” franchises. You can bet Tepper would love to trade places with Dallas and get his Panthers in the NFC East.
Agree. The nfl doesn’t need realignment. Rivalries drive tv ratings and ticket sales. I don’t think they need expansion either. NFL Europe wouldn’t be too bad. Kind of a minor leagues. You could use it to help develop players. Say each team can send so many guys from players they could fit on PS or something like that. But adding new teams and half way around the world may add new fans in Europe but US fans could be lost if their teams are having 8am games

It was more about the rules and less about the wheres, when Zone was allowed in the NBA wide spacing and the 3 Pointers helped and just so happens cater to a lot of the Euro players.

I’m not sure it’s losing audience. TV audience is down but streaming is up. Last year a 3% drop in tv but a 13% increase in streaming. Not a fan of streaming sports because it requires too many different services. But that’s where we are going I think

not sure but I think that there is much more revenue from TV then streaming
advertisers pay a lot more for TV
