NFL FA news

I would love to have Suh but it really is a long shot for him to end up in Dallas.

I will take Fairley and Dockett though. :)

I wonder what the asking price will be. Bradford as a backup would be a major upgrade over Weeden. However I wouldn't crown him Romo's successor.

Sam Bradford. What a disaster for STL.

Wasn't he the last #1 to get that crazy money?

Titanic-sized anchor. Thankfully that crap is gone.

Sounds like everyone is locking up their big prizes up...

Theres something to be said if the broncos are willing to let j.Thomas go

Wouldve liked dockett a few yrs ago. Not now.

Honestly, I agree with that. I couldn't be happier with the team's approach to free agents these days. Young, hungry guys who haven't already seen their best days. I have been wanting them to do business this way for years. I wouldn't want them to change that to bring in Dockett.

while I have been happy with the team's approach to FA's of late, I just wish that darned DL would get an infusion of talent...sign one or two mid-level guys and then draft at least one high (if the board calls for it)....the goal should be (on the defensive side) to get all of their LBs signed, and then get the DL situation handled, at least give rod more tools to play with

I would love to kick the tires on Fairley. Loved him coming out of school, he would add the element of mean to the DL, and he would be cost effective. A change of scenery may do this kid some good. I mean who wants to look at the rubble of Detroit every day? lol

Yeah, it says that he's greatly over-estimating his value and the Broncos are tired of playing games with him.

They offered to make him the league's third highest paid TE behind Graham and Gronkowski and he turned it down. The Broncos have moved on to other more important items. Maybe Cameron will leave Cleveland and take that deal from Denver while Thomas is left out in the cold?

I think that there are a few QB names and situations that have yet to be sorted out.

The aforementioned Sam Bradford situation in St Louis - I can't see any team trading for him at his current price tag given his terrible injury history and I liked what I saw from Austin Davis last year and think he might be their guy for the future.

The Jay Cutler situation in Chicago bears watching too. I think they're bringing McCown back and they may be looking to get out of Cutler's deal if they can. Maybe Cleveland will take him?

And the Manziel situation with the Browns is interesting. Are they ready to move on from him already?
