I was glancing over the remaining free agent list and there are lots of household names on that list. Some of them are pretty long in the tooth, but some of them must be holding out for a pay day.

Several named DTs on that list. Mostly run pluggers. But a few of them might be a possibility later on in the year.
Good job of starting a thread that is MEANINGLESS without the names!

that's ridiculous. There are 350 fewer players eligible to join an NFL PS. What you end up churning is far less likely to get you anywhere.

Strategies have to change as rules do, otherwise you are just a dinosaur.

And yet teams continue working out players during regular season amirite?

Cowboys themselves just churned bottom of roster by dropping Houston drom 53 to PS and adding Tafua to PS.

You're speaking in theory while I'm pointing out the actual reality.

Suh in the middle of this D line would make a great improvement. It could make a good defense a great one. Why not?

So you are complaining that we don't churn and then come back and give examples of us churning.

Do you have a coherent argument to make?

I didnt say we DON'T churn, I am supporting even MORE churning.

Stop moving goalposts.

You said churning is a thing of the past due to expanded PS.

YOU ARE WRONG.

Yea I love being one and done in the playoffs compared to getting to Super Bowls and actually winning.

Philadelphia is also the recipient of numerous playoff losses.

Man, I sure would love another SB though….better than doing nothing and perpetually losing like we do. The guys we could bring I wouldn’t kill the cap either.

I agree, the comment initially was made in reference to the team's who go cap spending heavy every year. I do support smart free agent acquisition and think DT would be of been wise; but I understand wanting to develop in house talent to an extent.
