I live in Los Angeles. I just ordered NFL Gamepass to watch the Boys/Raiders game tonight. It says it's blacked out in my area. How is that possible? Am I misunderstanding how this service works?

The game is on a TV station in your area most likely.

Does gamepass show live games? I thought they only showed them once they had been completed

Well it seems it is airing here, 4 hours after the game. Its airing as a rerun. They should STILL stream live imo.

I'm dealing with the same. I signed up for Game Pass because my local CBS Station in Austin is showing Rams vs Chargers, but even the Game Pass is showing "Blacked out".

I tried that last year.

NFL isn't dumb...they aren't going to let you sign up for the free trial just to watch the Dallas game.

Not saying you're on the free trial or that's the reason, just saying I signed up for the free trial to watch game 3 last season and the same thing happened.

They only live stream OUT OF MARKET games. I recently cancelled gamepass for that very reason.

If you are using US version of Game Pass, no. You have black-out rules and games are not live streamed due to the lucrative deal that the NFL has with Sunday Ticket in the states (which goes until 2021 or 2022).

The International version of Game Pass is completely open. No black-outs and you can watch every game live. The price (at least in Germany) is $179.99 for the whole enchilada (preseason, regular, post season, combine, draft, archived games, etc). You'll need to use a VPN (I use Strong VPN and bounce off servers in Berlin) to access and create an account with https://www.nflgamepass.com/en Start a 7-day trial just to make sure it works for you first. You'll need to use the VPN just to log in each time and then you can disconnect after establishing the connection... or just leave it be (I don't suffer any speed loss leaving the VPN connected). Boom. Done. You'll never go back to Sunday Ticket or watching it locally anymore.

Just google "Game Pass International" if you want more info. I promise you, it's extremely easy to set-up and you'll wonder why more people don't know about it.

C'mon now, I feel like this has been covered in countless threads but to reiterate - there absolutely no reason to use the US version of Gamepass when you can get a VPN and use the international version.

As far as the regular season; I live on the east coast, and now I figured out a way to get high speed internet. Shouldn'tI just get game pass instead of NFL ticket. Most the BOys games are televised anyway. Has anybody purchased game pass instead of NFL Sunday ticket.

Exactly. I live in Colombia so with Game Pass I can see all the games. When I'm back in the states I need to open a VPN like TunnelBear before I can watch them.

The problem is that you'll need to download the app from an international store if you want that version. For Apple, that depends upon what country your credit card is in.

WTH? Same deal in Austin... Texans are on TV, no Cowboys so I sign up for gamepass and blacked out.

Illegal streams here I come, screw you goodell

Game pass only heirs heirs live preseason games not regular season games the preseason games or live only but not in the area you live as a rule you should be able to watch the local game which is black out on Game Pass on one of your regular TV channels the Dallas games are always on one either CBS or their sister channel here in the Dallas area play music I'm using voice to text so there are some errors in my post sorry got to go watch the game by

You can catch some on NFL network. They are switching between games. Cowboys are on now.
