NFL has Dallas Cowboys among lowest projected win totals across NFC teams

I really have no idea how this season will go, but I do find it funny that even the media is widely split on how the Cowboys will likely do this season with some suggesting they have a shot to have a great season and others saying they will be lucky to win very many games.

The uncertainty may be due to a change with the HC. It's hard to see exactly where things will go with Schotty. How the new staff will acclimate to each other, and how new players will perform.

Obviously every NFL team goes through this in some form or fashion year to year. But with the Cowboys I think there has been a lot more change (new), more erosion (loss of the old) so things feel all over the map.

Then you can appreciate some fans’ concerns for the upcoming season. Along with a new, first time, head coach and new coordinators, that is quite a few challenging position groups. Coupled with two strong teams in the division and a particularly difficult schedule the 2025 season is not promising. Winning seven games again is probably not going to happen.

Mindless enthusiasm for the team’s prospects is not being a fan.

You don’t get it. I guess it’s over your head out your head is buried. Nothing wrong with having concerns or doubts about the upcoming season. Coming here daily and *****ing about it nonstop like you do is just trolling.

In the past we supposedly did not have the CAP space to participate in FA. What is the current excuse?

You don’t get it. Another team changes just their OC and it’s assumed that will set the team back. The Cowboys change the entire coaching staff, that’s an improvement. Cowboys lose players to free agency and replace them with draft picks, all those draft picks will be great. Other teams lose players to free agency and it’s assumed they’ll take a step back playing rookies.

It’s an example of trying to hope things into reality. Every NFL fanbase is doing it right now. It’s the off season. Some fanbases are more rational than others. It’s going to be a difficult season. All those position groups you indicated will be a challenge are going to be. Thinking a first time head coach with a staff loaded with college coaches can make them all competent in one training camp is just too much to hope for.

This is the way Jerry Jones wants it or he would not create the current situation. Stop the aspersions on fans that choose not to wear rose colored glasses.

That is called desperation of a 30 year drought.

If we somehow pull off a miracle l, and get a win in week one, half our fans will translate that to we are going to win the SB.

Everyone and their brother knows Jerry’s the problem. The new life they just found on a planet far away in the Galaxy knows that Jerry’s responsible. Yet you and others come here and remind everyone everytime you post.

Coaching is huge. Maybe you’ve never played team sports. Also, Pickens is huge. Maybe you’ve never heard of him. A draft haul almost everyone is saying was a great draft for the Cowboys. Fowler and some legitimate depth has been added and several great players will be coming back from injury. Maybe you haven’t been paying attention. Somehow, I think that’s not it.

Every time someone blames Dak, I am going blame Jerry and our incomplete defense. Notice how I don't pick a specific player.

There isn’t a team in the NFL that hasn’t improved. Most of them were already better than the Cowboys. You act like only the Cowboys participated in the off season.

They know how to fight, hand to hand. What you are missing is that tools of war are a football and not what college team the linemen played for.

Government actions cut funding to help out in prevention. Another federal benefit right now.

I support our 'troops' on the carpet, myself. You know, team playing confronting and competing with a football.

I hope not. I hate to go back to that 2010 to 2017 crap to average defenses. We only had two good years in that span, and that was with a top of the line run game. I'd hate to suffer those D's again.

We most likely will have a solid pass defense, but our run defense will be exposed by the top running teams and they will have little to no reason to throw the ball.

Hopefully I am wrong, but we have added really no one on defense to make me feel otherwise.
