This was not a great weekend for watching nfl games. Don't want to say injuries was the main reason. But it didn't help.

I've felt that way all 3 weeks. Very poor quality product. NFL doesn't care anymore about teams looking good, its all about the fantasy football. I'm losing interest frankly

Last week the refs decided to take over the games.
This product has become sloppy. And now every single commercial or highlight is based around Fantasy football. The league is grasping for fans too much. This league sponsored push to fantasy football may cause fans to become disassociated with any particular team.

Agree... the on field product so far has been piss poor throughout the league. I think the CBA agreement for limited contact practices is having a negetive effect.

Yup and still guys hurt just as much

And if you think that is bad, give it a few more years or so. As the true pocket passing QB's retire and the read option QBS from college take over, running as often as passing if not more running than passing. We won't be able to tell college from the NFL.
Heck, the uniforms are already getting to be the same for some teams.

how is the NFL affected by fantasy football?

i figured the pure fan would be. but how is the NFL? no contact or soft playing to keep starts safe?

And the crazy part of that is they don't need to do it either. Football would be super popular anyway without this fantasy football crap.

Injuries is the sport of American gridiron football's Achilles heel. One or two key injuries and your team is toast.

Time to cut preseason in half and increase roster sizes. Now Ben Rothlesberger is out for 6 weeks too. There's going to be some terrible football being played for the next few months.

I've been watching college football the past couple of weeks and the quarter backing is terrible. We may be in for some dark days......

Laugh away but I've been getting more in English Premier League soccer. NFL still my favorite but the games and the teams are worse and all the league cares about is fantasy

the way dallas is playin i cant wait for Bulls basketball. maybe theyll do decent

Injuries are inevitable in football. What NFL should do is allow more players per team and also increase the IR-returns to help out the situation.

God I hope you're wrong.
