baldinger so far said this, gregg jennings of the packes will cover cowboys in a little bit

here is what brian baldiner said
the cowboys nose tackles are putting their head down, you cant put your head down, and you have to fight off of blocks, even if 2 offensive linemen are on you

on tackling, baldinger showed film on everything he covered too on cowboys play

on tackling, the cowboys are leaving their feet, not going through the running back,

on offensive linemen, they are making contact with the defensive linemen, but just their top part of their body is making contact, the offensive linemens feet dont follow suit and bury the defensive linemen or linebackers

Baldinger talked about the defensive problems. He said the NTs can't play NT, and the defense isn't tackling well or running through guys. They are leaving their feet and missing a lot of tackles.

The NT talk isn't a big revelation to me. Tank Johnson was the guy in a lot of the highlights (lowlights). He had his head down or was ending up on his butt...

right and the offensive linemen were following through with their feet in blocking the opponents defensive linemen,

they would make contact with their arms and shoulders, but you could see that their feet stayed back behind their body to me from what i saw

they had santana moss on earlier and he showed how he beat newman, he likes to get a wr set up and he watches their feet, and moss said most dbs like to jump the route, moss would give a false step and let db come up to jump the route, then moss would get behind the db

I played NG in college and what I was taught was totally different from what Baldi was saying. He said a NG can not play from the ground which is partly true but a NG is taught to hold his ground or even go to one knee when doubled teamed and create a pile. A NG plays from the ground alot cause he's doubled virtually every play..

I think the problem is that the NTs aren't creating a pile. They're getting run right over. I think Ratliff is much better than Tank in that regard, but even Rat is more of a penetrator than a clogger.

well i like big huge nosetackles if your going to play the 3-4 you need a big NT to clog the middle, our NT's are small

That's what I thought, too.

But I'm not surprised Tank was in the lowlights.

BTW, Sterling Sharpe picked us to win. Guess what, Monte Kiffen plays a lot of off coverage. But what does he know about D?

but as you know wade likes smaler quicker NT's, to me small NT's will get pushed around by big massive offensive linemen

He doesn't necessarily like them, it just that he doesn't have anything else here. He admitted he'd love to have a huge guy like Pat Williams.

i agree about that manta, remember when ratliff said they taught him to drop one knee to hold the point of attack, maybe they should drop one knee but keep the head up to see to block the point of attack,

While we're on this subject, I always did like the idea of playing Spears at NT. I love his size and ability to clog things up.
