apparently, Merriman isn't very familiar with Marty-ball.
Marty ball may ensure you get to the playoffs but fail when you do.

He was a sniff away from the Super Bowl with the Browns and had Byner not fumbled the ball basically on the goalline he would have been there.

These same types of things were said about Cowher as well. The bottomline is that Marty consistently puts a winner on the field and that is not a coincidence.

This joker can't even guarantee he'll stay on the field and he's guaranteeing a SB win. This guy is a schmuck.

I was just talking smack. I like Marty. I think he's one of the good guys.
I'd like the Chargers a lot more if they didn't have Merriman too.

Watching NFL Total Access and they quoted Merriman saying that.

That gives you a big clue into what Parcells did not like about him; and that is that he is a meathead - dead from the neck up.

I cant be any more than happy right now that we ended up with Ware.

Merriman already hurt and let his team down with the juice.

Ware is doing more on defense overall by being a triple-threat kind of guy.

And now this. Ware has much better character - doesnt need the attention, makes a great pay and gets back to the huddle.

He's just trying to deflect attention from the real issue... Are you juicing or not?
exactly the first thing i thought, he's just trying to avoid the real issue which is he is nothing but a cheater! Seriously is disgusting that people are just looking the other way while in baseball Bonds, McGwire, and others are booed and criticized like crazy when while they probably did use roids they still never tested positive. it makes me sick that people in the media are mostly forgetting about it.

Thats been getting brought up a lot today in the media.

Why do baseball players' characters get tarnished by steroids and in football its no big deal?

He's a media darling that's being given a pass! It just goes to show the hypocrisy of today's media.

Merriman is the classic example of a kid who's buying his own hype.

Let's all pray Romo never ends up like this. Or Ware. Or really, any of our guys.

Out of curiosity... why do you have Merriman as your avatar? lol

No offense.

You can't see it - but Merriman is shooting up in that picture.

Today in sports guys make predictions all the time. They dont mean anything. If the guy's prediction is wrong the media just lets it go. Back when Broadway Joe predicted his SB win it meant something and he backed it up. Nowadays guys make predictiona every week(chad johnson, joey porter, s. merriman, etc.) most of them are wrong. I hope none of our players make any predictions and just let our play do the talking.

I'm not a Merriman fan but, out of curiosity. How many of the Merriman bashers would welcome him to the team when his contract is up with the Chargers? I remember TO was raked over the coals in here. Now that he wears the star. Most people accept his antics.

Antics and steroids are two different issues with me. I can't take
juice-heads. I would be against him coming to Dallas and truthfully I can't see myself rooting for him if he ever wore the star.

If he cleaned it up, continued playing at a high level and passing his drug tests, absolutely we'd welcome him. It's a forgiving society.
