NFL Network on Time Warner???

I have Time Warner digital cable, and i love it.
I have the 3 in 1 package. Digital Cable, Digital Phone, and RR Internet. It was cheap, and in 3 years it has cut out on me for around 30 minutes total.

The cool feature is when the phone rings, and your watching TV it shows up on the TV like 5 seconds before it actually rings. So if someone is sleeping it wont wake them up. It has came in handy quite a bit since our family is not on the same sleeping schedule.

I forgot to mention i get all the movie channels, and all the sports packages that i care about.

Its all preference.

If you can't tell the difference between a Directv HD picture and a cable HD picture, you wasted your money buying HD tvs.

Please explain how a Directv HD picture can possibly be better than cable. Different compression? Different resolution? Fairy dust?

What continent do you call when you dial your cable provider?

It's in state. Maybe an hour from here. All local people. Directv is halfway across the country from me.

DSL is a joke compared to the speed I get with cable. It's not even close. It's much cheaper too.

I don't understand the "better" picture thing. HDTV is HDTV. How can one be better than the other? It's digital and when it storms I don't have to worry about loss of picture as I do with satellite. And since I do live in a high wind area I do have to worry aboutg wind damage. Plus, they're ugly.

I lost picture with old dish in storms.

Since going HD dish have never had an outage - EVER.

Cable has no Sunday Ticket or NFL network and quality is is not the same.

I have Comcast cable Internet. But second Verizon FIOS is available I'm there.....

Do some reading, DTV HD is better than Cable HD in quality. I have had both and love the Dish quality to my eye.

Coax - cable 10 years from now will go way of dialup.....

DTV and also phone co's wiring fiber to houses are going to turn the Cable Co's world upside down.....they can't handle the future bandwith needs.

Only reason I have cable instead of DirecTV - too many trees. And cutting them down isn't an option or I'd buy a chainsaw.

I have the same 3-1 package but do not have the caller ID on screen. Is that something you have to setup or is it supposed to be an automatic function if you have the package?

There is an option on my TV remote that allows you to turn it on/off.

I hit the yellow triangle button(located middle of remote). A Access menu pops up, and then from there you can turn caller id on/off.

I know that people in my area were steamed last year when they assumed that having the NFLN from the local cable provider got them the Steeler game when it didn't.

I live in Squeeler nation, too. IIRC, that game was broadcast locally. Was it on KDKA?

Our local cable provider (Armstrong) was one of those cable companies that didn't pony-up for the live games, but I remember watching that Browns @ Steelers game somehow.
