Well, if the NFL network were smart then they would have not allowed the first column.
He should have a right to respond to the backlash if the first one was allowed to run, should he not?
I did not type what I typed for the purpose of Guilt or innocence but as your post points out(at least to me it does) It is Intimidation of a differing point of view. You asked if the NFL Network were smart then they would not have allowed the first column. Well they did because It was an opinion, they paid Deion to give them his opinion. Agreeing with a previous poster, when he pondered, Maybe the negative EMails and or Phone calls made them pull the second one. That's my beef. Intimidation of differing points of view. The Shutting it down. Vick or anyone else I do not like it. I felt the same way about Don Imus and I'm a Black man. I do not like the trend nowadays that if someone holds a Differing opinion they are to be silenced.
Love or Hate Vick I do not Care. I get a little weary when Media outlets are swayed as to only show one side of any debate. I do not have anything against anyone here, I do not know you from Adam. I do have something against strong arm tactics I see everyday. If that makes me crazy, stupid ,paranoid or any of the other Names some of you have sent my way, Sorry you feel that way but it is what it is.
Anyway Peace to all you guys, I can't wait until the hitting starts I think we could really cause some noise this year.:starspin

The NFL Network is not the Federal Government; consequently, the NFL Network can select those columns it wishes to publish and those it wishes to discard.
What's the other option here?
The NFL Network is forced to publish Deion's column? In essence, the government tells a major media outlet what it can and cannot publish? That would be a direct violation of the constitution.

Calvin2Tony2Emmitt2Julius - what Scopio said above me is correct- Deion has contractually given the rights to his opinion over to the NFL network (something I think is ridiculous for anyone to do, but it was his call). He made an agreement with them, and the article being pulled is the function of that agreement.
As for the rest of your comments regarding public opinion - anyone is allowed to say what they wish. That is a great thing about this country. Unfortunately, what people fail to understand is that their opinion will also reap consequences, either positive or negative. One should always consider the potential consequences of their spoken opinion and determine whether that is something for which they have prepared.

All I can possibly say In my defense is I do not type like I speak(My fault not yours) So My communication of my thoughts leave a bit to be desired. As to someone calling me on something, that's one of the things I like about the forum. When I'm called it gives me the oppurtunity to see wether my point of view is valid or F.O.S. So I welcome it.
As far as me Going off or ranting, It's not that serious, again it's more my lack of skills needed to adequately communicate through typed medium. Trust me I Communicate much better speaking than typing. I do not take it as seriously as I come across, After all The subject of this discussion will still be rich, still get paid and probably still play football long after we have forgoten about this.
And" let you live is not literal" (On a message board how can it be) It's just a way to say I'm not going to get into it with you.
By the way I did not say Lynch them, I said Lynch mob "Mentality" There is a difference.
Hope I shed some light on this. After all In about four weeks I really won't care about anything other than who's butt my boys are going to whip week to week.
