for those who have it, i'm considering getting satellite just because i want the atlanta cowboys game at home as well as all the press conferences in their entirety on nfl network. is NFL Network really all that great? what are the pros and cons?

I love it. It's the first channel I check out every evening.

At the present, they repeat a lot of programming, but it's getting better every year. If you miss something the repeat programming isn't a negative.

With the NFL taking over some games this year and replaying a lot of the Sunday games, it's only a matter of time until it's a "must-have" for every NFL fan.

I Tivo it and watch it every day. Well worth it, especially getting to see every Boys game. All those years haveing to suffer with the damn sports ticker to get updated scores and highlights. Ewwwwww.

the atlanta vs dallas game is only going to be on the nfl network.
Thanks. I've been thinking about a dish and this might have confirmed it to me.

I think they're confusing NFL Network with NFL Sunday Ticket. Two totally different animals.

It is ok... Nothing great... The repeat a lot of stuff over and over... Seems they have a real issue with putting on stuff about the Cowboys... But hey that could be just me I am paranoid... :eek:

Con = Rich Eisen

Agree! Also, con = Rod Woodson

He was breaking down the best TE's in the league, and he was so boring I almost fell asleep. At one point, he took so long going on about something or other that they had to skip a clip he was introing just to get on with the segment.

It's the falling asleep part that gets to me. Do they realize they're coverning football?????

I think the Network could use more live shows... weekend coverage is a bore! But I understand that this year they will have 1 hr highlights of each game! unlike last year where they only did 1 or 2 games!!! this should be awesome!

Eisen is terrible. He just gets on my nerves.

Awesome network. I don't like other pro sports except maybe the NBA playoffs; NFL Network is a God-send.

NFL Network and ESPN are the only things that have kept me sane during the offseason...
