NFL officiating is horrible and costing teams

This is the world we live in today. If you don’t win then the other team or person cheated or the refs to blame. No one is taking responsibility that you just loss. So with that being said since I did not win the mega millions on Saturday as they did not pick my numbers, then it was stolen from me and they cheated. I mean I was only 6 numbers off and if they would have picked my numbers then I would be rich (sarcasm)
There is clearly a conspiracy against you and me. My numbers didn't get picked either

If they call every infraction in a game, the game would last 5 hours.
.
It probably all evens out in the end, anyway.

A billion dollar industry and the part time feckless refs are blowing calls right and left and costing teams playoff berths and games. Mark my words, if Dallas loses Monday night it very well may be to blown calls, spotting errors, and turning a blind eye to the plethora of holds on Parsons and other pass rushers. It really is very bad and there was an article on this recently. It is a travesty and that is why Goodall should be fired immediately. The ghost of Dez is upon us.
7 officials trying to keep up with 22 super athletes while remaining impartial. There’s going to be some missed calls, that’s just reality. Calling for firing Goodall is simply silly and childish!

TIAA was full of boos last night in the first half about a couple of PIs that weren't called. I think the fans overreacted on a few and had a legit beef on one or two also

Point being, other than Pederson getting in the refs ear a bit here and there, the jags just kind of went about their business and started executing at a higher level and made a comeback for the ages. They looked inward at themselves instead of outwardly toward the refs.

Contrast this with Dak openly praising fans for dumping trash on the refs and our fans starting numerous pre-emptive threads this past week about the possibility of an officiating conspiracy against the cowboys and you begin to understand why one and done has become the rule instead of the exception around here come playoff time

Laughable
I am just curious if the Jags had a Dez type play overturned? Or a Dez caught it moment in the playoffs a couple of years in a row. I’m asking for a friend.

If we lose tomorrow it will more likely be because we stunk/choked than the refs taking the game from us.

It's going to be the play of Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot that takes the Boys down.

They had a Clear PI on a long gain that didn't get called and forced a punt

Couple other bad calls. But their biggest problem in the first half was not taking care of the ball and not executing

Just like in GB in 2014, the cowboys biggest problem was Murray not taking care of the ball on a potential long TD run and our defense not being able to contain a gimpy ARod in the 2nd half.

The jags corrected their ball security issues and executed better in 2nd half and all of a sudden the bad calls were no longer important. They were mentally tough

No more complicated than that.

Hope your friend is doing well

Holding is and will always be my biggest gripe about officiating. It’s ridiculous
Call both ways the same , thats all we ask. If you judge a holding one way , then call it for both teams similarly.
dont swallow whistle for one team and ignore Vegas and NFL mandates to keep games closer. It earns only bad name and distrust.

Another pre-emptive "it's the ref's fault" thread, in case the Cowboys lose.
In sports...you GOTTA warm up.

Just like the batting circle where you practice swinging with weighted bat.

This poster is warming up in the Whining Circle. If he just starts whining after we lose, he might pull something, and won't be able to whine again for 2 to 4 weeks depending on how quickly he heals.

I officiated college basketball and as a fan I agree officiating is terrible. As an official I’m telling you it’s hard as hell. You absolutely know when you’ve missed something but the game just moves on.

I have two suggestions. Officials should be in their athletic prime or at least never over 50. Also the more technology the better. Tennis has done it, baseball is heading there. I know basketball and football are vastly different but for instance chips in the balls and camera interpretation of spots could help.

Holding and PI will always be subjective so get used to being mad at officials…all the time.

Those claiming that since nothing can be perfect so why try and do better deserve to be tarred and feathered. just an excuse to DO NOTHING.
Those that think having a professional group of officals would make no difference; well idiots why are WE THE ONLY PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE IN THE WORLD WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL OFFICIALS? SO YOU are claiming everyone else is wrong and the NFL are right?
Bottom line is that clearly the NFL does not really care or they would be better. For all their BS the proof is in how no officials are EVER fired for multiple screwups.
NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

With officials staring at the offensive line at the start of the play with nothing else to do but stare at the line and missing illegal procedure is gross incompetence. It happens way too frequently. And there are NO consequences for gross incompetence. They probably get raises in the end.
