Jerry jones, in response to a question on if NFLPA needed to approve expanded playoffs, responded, "not to my knowledge."

Asked #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones if union needs to sign off on playoff expansion: “Not to my knowledge.” See @AlbertBreer’s feed for context

Building off the report from @TomPelissero, I'm told the union is prepared to try and stop playoff expansion over the workers comp issue.
The NFL hasn't presented the union with any proposal on playoff expansion. Absent a resolution on workers comp, those could be non-starters.
Saw Jerry Jones said in Atlanta that he doesn't think the NFLPA has to sign off on playoff expansion. I can tell you the union disagrees.
The union's view on this is that added playoff games would constitute a change in working conditions, and thus must go thru them.

Jerry Jones is here at Atlanta owners meetings and says he thinks there is wide support for playoff expansion. Too early to predict a vote
