I only seen one squib kick, the rest were all to around the 10. And just because it didn't count doesn't mean he didn't miss it. Whats the excuse for his miss last week? He is the Peyton Manning of kickers it seems.

Well Peyton is one of the greatest of all time and Bailey is the most accurate of all time so yes they have similar traits.

The high kicks to the 10-20 were planned...it gives the coverage team time to go down and make a big hit. It created the fumble that Hanna missed.

Just fold in the playoffs is all. No big deal as long as they kill it in the regular season.

Word on the radio is that the rules committee will be reviewing this "Calvin Johnson" rule.

One play does not a loss make? But it's not just about one play. It'a about calling a game fairly and consistently from one quarter to the next, from one game to the next, especially in a sport that can kill or disable a man with one illegal move, leaving entire families devastated. It's about players who take that field every Sunday, and give it everything they have, expecting(reduced to hoping these days) that the Refs will call a game fairly, only to find out that these same refs have no clue how to do do that, because so many of them have absolutely no feel for the game, no knowledge or liking for the game, and, as becomes more apparent as years go by, they lack the objectivity with which to call a game fairly.

Finally, and what it ultimately boils down to, imo, are the suits occupying NFL Street who have not one iota of love and respect for the historic nature of the game, the players and their families, or the teams, because they are driven by the almighty dollar, then make up rules in the off-season to justify their greed, or, they don't take enough action to ensure quality referees are hired. I know this how? The Refs are part-timer's, and there aren't enough punitive measures taken for egregious errors like the Detroit and Green Bay games to ensure that the integrity and the safety of the game remains in place. I know this how? We see the same incompetent refs on the field every Sunday. How many of you shudder when Ed Hochuli takes the field, or Jeff Triplitte, or, when you found out(I raise my hand) the infamous Gene Steratore was going to ref the game, and, who is the very reason for the Calvin Johnson stupid rule? That alone should have banned him from working any playoff games, much less one to determine the conference championship teams.

What happened these last two weeks should offend the sensibilities of every football fan of every team because eventually this incompetence is going to cost everyone dearly down the road, whether it will be Green Bay's turn to lose a game by a bad call next week, or, in a more frightening scenario, it's condoning actions that lead to crippling injuries, like, Suh stomping on Rodgers, then getting suspended(right move), then getting his suspension lifted, (wrong move); or, Matthews deliberately going for Romo's knees, or, the roughing the passer calls Romo never gets, or, the bounty hunting scandal of 2 years ago. These are not acceptable. I can't even imagine what else goes on that is missed, and I hope to gosh we never find out!

I do know one thing. I am an NFL football fan first, a Dallas Cowboys fan second. If the integrity of the game continues to erode, it won't get my money, and in agreement with what a previous poster indicated, I too will be done with the NFL!
