I agree so much. It's a possible trade-off. You make so much money in exchange for your mind and body. If your scared don't play. Really a simple solution to me

agreed.....I could understand the old school footballers who played for peanuts in comparison and the science wasn't available to advise on risks. Today, however, it's well known the impact this violent sport can have on health. Knowing that and accepting all the money and lifestyle that comes with the NFL, I believe players accept the risk and own the liability.

Regarding that video.....ouch, that was a crushing blow!! Don't know much about Rugby, is that a legal hit the game rules?

When the NFLPA is serious about taking PEDs out if the game us the day I worry about concussions in the NFL. Until them the NFLPA looks like a bunch of idiots saying they care about its union members when clearly all they care about us the $$$$$

Always remember, academia hates the attention that football gets. Non-sports media hates the attention that sports media gets. Other sports hate the attention that football gets. Football has a target on its back because of the monster money and attention generator it is.

Concussions are serious and worthy of research. However, this crisis is vastly overstated.

When it was reported after Frank Gifford died that his brain showed signs of CTE trauma, the agenda was obvious. The guy was 86 years old! And he had a tremendous career after football.

If this craze doesn't subside, football will be gone soon. That is what academia and the nanny-state media desperately wants.

Yes this is the huge downside. I read where they did a study that the drop off for football participation is getting higher. So it's kinda scary to see where football could end up in the future!

Legal but stupid, tackles don't usually go head to head.

Rugby is a very different sport. You can't leave your feet to tackle, among other things.
