not seeing a thread on it, but i could have pacman mcfadden blindness right now.

while watching the 9ers giants reply (man TO was impressive!) i noticed that one rule would be that the receiver has to get 2 feet in bounds REGARDLESS of whether or not being pushed out.

i like the push out rule. it allows the use of the sideline in a fair manner. if this happens i can see something like newman catching desean jackson in mid air and carrying him out of bounds.

don't like that potential rule change.

I would be ok with them splitting the difference on that one. I think if the defensive player is in contact with a WR and he get one foot down it should be a catch. I always thought the pushed out was a subjective call. This would lend more credibility to the call itself and still give the DB and the WR an opportunity to make the play.

i hate the force out rule for 2 reasons.

#1 they don't even call it consistently
#2 their's so many rules in place for the offense they have such an advantage these days

Doesn't really affect us, IMO. The refs never called it for T.O. I believe the defender should have the right to get the player out of bounds before he can get two feet in.

both good points, but if he's going to come down and you push him out - just not sure i like that idea. then again i could just be so sold on the way it is and yea, you're right. maybe the defenses do need to catch a break at times.

also talk of a rookie salary cap. PLEASE make this reality!

I think this is vital.

 It makes no sense for a team to have to pay a rookie a set amount of money when he hasn't played a single NFL game. They should wait at least one, if not two, years before having to give them a big contract.
