If they limit the QB position then you'll see a massive spike in the next big position.

WR's, Edge, IDL studs, OTs, etc...

Top WR's will go to 35mil AVV, same with edge or closer to 40mil.

It's not like you can simply limit one position and hope the rest stay stagnant or stay on a linear path

This is exactly my thought as well. If QB is off the books...its the next most important position that will skyrocket in price.

Comes back to my assertion...allow a vehicle for teams to pay QB's but spread out half the money over longer years. This opens up cap space but not so much that other positions prices will skyrocket. Allow an out for teams to pay back the long term money in a shorter period without killing their cap...similar to voidable years.

You dont have to fight over distribution money percentages...you simple just allow teams to spread half of QB salary out over 8-12 years with an out for teams to pay the spread out money back quickly without killing their cap. Each team can use this exception and there can only be one exception used at a time per team. The spread out money must be paid back before you can use your exception again. The resignings of QB's when their main term contract is up for renewal(3-5 year usually) will have to account for the spread out money. There will be a way to account for all that and extend the QB while using your exception. The exception can only be used on one player at a time per team AND can still be used during QB contract extensions with money and years added to the exception.
