#1 Lamar Jackson
#2 Joe Bo=urrow (+2)
#3 Mahomes
#4 Josh Allan (-2)
#5 CJ Stroud
#6 Jayden Daniels (+2)
#7 Dak Prescott (-1)
#8 Geno Smith (-1)
#9 Mayfield (+1)
#10 Purdy (-1)

Rank 7 - Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys · Year 9
2024 stats: 5 games | 65.4 pct | 1,424 pass yds | 7.5 ypa | 8 pass TD | 4 INT | 24 rush yds | 1 rush TD | 4 fumbles

The win over the Steelers had everything you've come to expect from Prescott: great throws, play extension, key completions in huge spots and brutal interceptions. Prescott's first pick seemed to result from some sort of miscommunication with CeeDee Lamb. The second was on a totally unnecessary shot taken in the fourth quarter of a game the Cowboys had a chance to put away with a methodical scoring drive. But Prescott came through in the clutch, leading a 15-play, 70-yard possession that expertly drained the remaining clock and ended with a courageous touchdown pass to Jalen Tolbert with the game on the line. You'll take the bad with the good, I guess. It's certainly better than some of the performances lesser quarterbacks produce on a weekly basis.

Has Jayden surpassed Dak, in your opinion?

Got to give Daniels credit. He's completing 77 percent of his passes. His last game was his worst (56 percent), though, and I'd expect him to be hit and miss just because he's a rookie. Right now, he's playing better than I hoped he would considering he's on one of our NFC East opponents.

I hope the Cowboys and Dak bounce back after the horrendous offensive performance last week. >.> Would hate to see the Commodes surpass the Cowboys this season.
The offense wasn’t the issue. The 3 turnovers from Dak was. Offensive went all up and down the field on the Steelers shockingly.

These index rankings are sky’s weird. Purdy barely cracks top 10 and Darnold nowhere in sight…..but Daniel’s a rookie is top 6?

Yeah Dak should be Top 6.

Allen is like #12-13. Judging on the basis of this year alone...his last 2 games might be in the top 10 worst of any QB this entire year.

But I agree with the others ranked ahead of Dak. I'd have him 6.

Who hires these idiots to write this crap for the NFL and badly rank QBs???

Joe Burrow #2? What has he done for his team other than lead the Bengals to a 1 - 4 record to start the 2024 season?

Lamar #1??? WTH? Lamar is not better than Mahomes. Lamar is not even a top 5 passer. He's currently in 9th place when it comes to this season's NFL QB Passing Leaders. He's more of a running QB.

Plus, rookie Daniels better than Dak??? GTHOH with this crap.

I could go on but it's too upsetting.

I think the Top 4 is undebatable. Stroud, Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow.

After that it's a debate. Allen's garbage play in the last 2 games should drop him from the Top 10 altogether.

As for guys like Darnold, Baker, and Daniels - they might be leading the MVP race but we don't know enough about them to rank them ahead of definitively established guys like Dak. Or at least in Baker's case, not sure to put him on pumpkin watch or not.

Burrow isnt better than Rogers right now...he is just younger.

Rogers isnt perfect...but he throws a great ball, has zip and can read a defense and make up his mind faster than I think any QB in the league can. He is older, probably stuck in his ways on some things...but he still has it.

My main point is...I think Rogers and Mahomes are the two standouts in todays NFL QB. Borrow, Daniel, Stroud all might end up being better...but none of them can do it like Rogers or Mahomes.

Im a big Rogers fan...and not to elongate this convo in pro-Rogers form....but if you are into football, listening to scouts and what they say is important in todays NFL and not just going by potential or win-loss......my opinion is that Rogers is still up there with the best. Not #10 or #5....but top 3 for sure. And thats based on ability to read and process the game while having a strong arm and being able to throw a good ball.

Watch Rogers in week 3 and tell me thats not exactly how every Owner, GM, Coach would like his QB to play. It was clean because of his mental ability to process whats going on along with his athletic ability(arm).

He aint perfect and can look old. But if given enough time to execute(Im aware Football is unpredictable and no QB is guaranteed time to throw)...I think Rogers is unmatched mentally. He makes the game look so slowed down to him. He only looks old when he has to take sacks because he cant scramble as well anymore.

Anyway...show me lists that make sense. Rogers has to be up there based on his processing alone. Sure...having mentals and young legs helps...but that mental advantage Rogers brings to the passing game is highly valuable and underestimated.

I dont fall for age or arm or win/loss excuses...Rogers mental game at QB is very underrated, even by this board. Give this guy a legit line and half way serviceable WR...and its a no brainer.

Yeah, how Darnold not top 10 after his resurgence?
It doesn’t make sense. If you are making him work his way up from where he was to start the season? Then why is Daniels up there. Darnold honestly could be higher he’s playing better than anyone right now.

Darnold is playing better football than everyone in that top 4….Burrows stats are surreal but he’s not producing the wins but even then top 4 that’s fair. Darnold, Purdy and Lamar and probably Burrow.

It's weird to see QB rankings cause there's always a bias based off previous years showings or expected top QBs.

If going off just 2024, Darnold needs to be higher/in the top ten. His career up to now had been meh. Disappointment/bust.
However, looking at 2024 his play is worthy of getting some respect this season. Maybe it'll fade, maybe it won't, but it shouldn't impact a week 6 list.
