No sane fan will care one iota about this nonsense. We all know Dak is a good QB who will have an occasional stinker game. Which makes him must like every other player who has ever lived. But I agree he needs to swing the pendulum back closer to last year's level of aggressiveness but stop short of taking TOO many chances. It's a tightrope to be sure but he's making a ton o money to walk it. So git er done!

People are getting tape on Purdy and he’s coming back to earth. Hurtz is banged up, like I knew he would be as a running QB, and looking more like the Hurtz of two years ago.
Herbert, Cousins, and Allen really seem to be trending into a class of their own where….they are good for stretches but will sink their teams with head scratcher games and throws.

Dak has about 3 TD games outnumber his 3 INT games 25 to 3. His games with passer rating above 100 outnumber his games with passer rating below 70 54 to 15. So he's more than 8 times more likely to throw 3 +TDs as he is to throw 3 INTs and 3.5 times more likely to finish with a passer rating above 100 than he is below 70. I imagine his good game to poor game ratio stacks up with just about anybody not named Patrick Mahomes. Whether you accept it or not, Dak Prescott is a good NFL quarterback. Perhaps not great.. maybe not elite but he certainly rises to the standard of "good." If that bothers some people.. That's their problem..

No I hear you. The other guy just informed me he's 9th in QBR. I don't know what I was thinking!

9th place is soooooo much better than ever succeeding in the playoffs.....ever. He's really just a hair tick below Mahomes. Sure... Mahomes has multiple SB wins and even more SB appearances and AFC Championship game appearances....and Dak has only managed to eek out a couple WC wins (one to a team with a losing record) before having one of his "occasional stinkers" and ending the season, every time.....but NINTH. NINTH!!!! YOU CANT ASK FOR MORE THAT !!!! we can only hope to be blessed with 10 MORE years of exactly the same kind of seasons and stellar QB play as we've already enjoyed under him. What more could we ask for?

I'm probably the biggest Cowboy homer on this board. Dak is our biggest weakness in big games.

That's a self fulfilling prophecy since the minute we win people automatically reclassify the game as "not big." Even the playoff wins are considered "not big." Why? Because we won and Dak played well that's why. It's absolute insanity. Frankly Dak outplayed Jared Goff in '18 but could not overcome the defense being overrun for 270 yards.. and he was better than Jimmy G in '21 but again.. was terrible tackling the 49ers' backs so he was the main reason for that loss. If people want to pin the '22 playoff loss on him I won't fight them on it but he simply has not performed poorly in all those playoff games.. He was lights out against Green Bay and Tampa.. and pretty good against Seattle and the Rams.. He has struggled against the San Fran defense the last two plus seasons.. making him part of a very large fraternity of QBs who struggle against it. Yes he needs to figure it out but he clearly is going to need his coach to help him do that. The Niner DC has had our offense figured out now three straight times. At some point we gotta change that.
