And that despite the 5-star matchup between the Steelers and Patriots.

The Thursday night game was down 40% despite being seen on NBC, the NFL Network and being streamed on Amazon.

On “SNF,” the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Oakland Raiders drew a respectable 19.2 million viewers — but it was down 26 percent from last year.


On “MNF,” the Atlanta Falcons beat the Buccaneers in a game won by a field goal. Yet viewership was down 16 percent from 2016’s Carolina Panthers-Washington Commanders game.

It could improve if the league took those distracting and annoyingly over used little yellow flags away from the dimwits that try to ruin every game. That would be a great start!!

No kidding. It’s rare to see any kickoff go without a penalty. It seems to get worse every year.

Yeah, l have become brainwashed to just expect a flag on every big play. Its way out of hand. I recently watched the Pittsburgh/Patriots matchup and even that great game was over officiated and nearly ruined by the ref's.

If it’s obvious that the penalty has no influence on the play, I admit very subjective, then they shouldn’t call it. That would help.
