Some of you are great with stats.
I'd be really interested to know how the average yards per game has changed over the years. I've only been watching NFL since 2001 when I moved to the States but even in that relatively short time it seems like where there used to be plenty of teams who could run successfully, there are now only 1 or 2 who bother.
They just said the Packers got their first 100yd rusher in the last 45 games.. that's nuts. And doesn't that make a farce of the saying that you have to have a running game to keep a defense honest and have success passing? I don't remember Green Bay struggling over those last 45 games too much.
Anyway. Can anyone find those stats?
