The draft is the next big event on the NFL calendar and once that’s done it will be time to move onto the announcement of the schedule for the 2022 season.

We now know when that announcement will come. The NFL announced on Thursday that the schedule will be released during a special on NFL Media properties on May 12.

There will be a handful of games announced ahead of the official schedule release as well.

The league’s announcement includes word that the first Thursday Night Football game to air on Amazon, which will be in Week Two, will be revealed during the first round of the draft.

The path to the inevitable 17-0 season will be laid out here, boys and girls. Bathe in it.

My favourite day of the non-playing weeks of the NFL year. Can't wait.

Maybe Cowboys on Amazon week 2? Or maybe an AFC West matchup i.e. Chargers/Chiefs?

Hope we have a lot of prime time games, so I don't have to venture out to the sports bar!

I'm sure it'll be

@ LA Rams
Bye week
@ Green Bay
@ Titans
Cincinnati
@ Vikings
Bucs

lol

We will have 5 cold wether games to end the season, and will have 2 of them on the road to end the season. 4 of last 6 on the road.

we will also be on the road the Sunday before the T-Day game then once again on the road the Thursday after. That has been pretty much the schedule the past 4 years.

i hope they just drop the schedule all at once instead of doing the nonsense they did last year

you dont need an entire day long production on several channels about a schedule

I’d rather run into the tough part of the schedule the first half of the season. That might give us a chance to come on late in the season rather than fade.

They're releasing the schedule on 5-12. That's funny because some sceptics here have us going 5-12 next year.

Thought the schedule usually comes out in July or something

Yeah so by that time Philly will be making their usual push to get in the playoffs

The entire schedule is out on the websites at the start of the show. It always has been.

My guess is we play Jacksonville in London, and we open against the Rams.

They already announced the home teams for the out of county games. We won’t be one of them or the visitors either.
Not from the way the article read. The way I took it anyway.
But I guess they can change it up.

Well, we won’t have the Mexico City game as they announced the home team for that game. But can’t recall what team.

Since 2000, we finished at home 8 times.
4 times the last 2 games were in the road.
ZERO times we finish the last 2 games at home.

Notice how they wait until after the draft now.

Probably want to cash in on any possible related headline if they can.

It doesn't suddenly take three weeks longer to figure out.

The NFL generates more annual revenue than any sports league in the world, despite not being nearly as popular a sport (globally) as soccer.

That doesn't happen by accident. Maximizing marketing potential, in a world full of entertainment options, is just good business.
