They will not build another season with the back shoulder throws, which was their staple last season. Their defense is average. I don't see them losing 7, but it may be close to that. JMO, Of course.

Its not that far fetched. I don't know if it is because of a lack of hunger and desire, but recent history indicates most champs go through a post-SB slump. Plus every team will have the Saints circled on there schedule and treat that game as their mini superbowl. I don't think the Saints can overcome that.

Watching them after Matt Moore took over at QB and the running game that Carolina showed is the reason I picked them as my biggest surprise team this season

JonJon, that was sweet dude. Like the setup and how it all plays out. I've been on board since this offseason.

I think it's a four team race for the Superbowl. Cowboys, Packers, Colts and Patriots will be the only 12 or more win teams. In fact I think all four may win more than 12.

After that I like ATL, NO, SD, CHI and NYG to win 10-11 games.

SF, NYJ, BAL, PIT and MIN are 9 win teams.

I just don't think Carolina will have much this season. They have one of if not the best RB tandems in the NFL, but outside of that there isn't much. Steve Smith is still the only real receiving threat, and he's getting long in the tooth and coming off a broken arm. They lost Peppers on defense too and imo didn't really improve in that area. Not too many around here are excited for the Carolina season, and you know its bad when the teams own radio station decides to cover another team, lol.

The loss of Peppers is a reason of concern but I think the offense of Carolina started showing they could do the job once Delhomme was pulled for good. Moore took over the last 5 games of the season and Carolina went 4-1 and looked using the passing game to go along with a very good rushing attack.

We aren't a Super Bowl team, we're a 9-7ish team. Our OL depth is going to prove to be a major issue if anyone goes down.
