NFL Stadium Experiences

Went to Las Vegas this weekend for the Raiders vs. Titans game. My brother-in-law is a Titans fan and asked if I wanted to tag along. It’s an NFL game…in Las Vegas…and I wanted to watch Jeanty play professionally, so I was all in!

I’ve been to several NFL stadiums, and I have to say, this was probably my most pleasant experience yet. Allegiant Stadium is impressive. The design moves people in and out efficiently, the concession lines were smooth, and the sightlines from almost every seat are excellent. We stayed at the Luxor, and it was an easy walk across the freeway (the city closes the street bridge for foot traffic only) to the stadium.

The biggest plus? Everyone around me was cordial....especially given the Raiders’ fan reputation. No issues with intoxicated or unruly guests, which made the experience even better. I’ve been to plenty of games where there are drunk idiots, fights, or excessive smack talk that ruin the vibe. I had my black Boise State Jeanty jersey on and got compliment after compliment. My brother-in-law wore his Titans jersey and had zero issues with Raiders fans. From what I understand, you couldn’t have a fan-friendly experience like that at the old Oakland Coliseum. Las Vegas nailed it.

My only minor gripe: the drinks felt a little overpriced, but hey, it is Vegas.

It got me curious. What have been your favorite NFL stadium experiences? Any must-visit destinations?

Miami sucks.

Only time it's nice is in December or January, but they barely play in January.
Still can be hot, but not hell on earth.
Was there for their last playoff win, 2 decades ago when Lamar Smith won the game for them single-handily on offense.

Never will go again to a game during the 1st half of the season, even if it tickets, food and alcohol were free.

Drive sucks there, parking sucks there. 2/10, would not recommend.

My bro-in-law went to a Titans game there (last year I believe) and he was telling me the traffic was brutal and that you have to walk like a mile to get to the Uber pickup area. Was saying it's built right in a residential area. Lol

Yea, it's a poorly planned venue, but that's on par with Miami lol. It's not too far from the turnpike, but at the same time it being too close to the turnpike means only a few ways in and out.

I was there recently. Not for a football game.
Walked from the downtown area (where our hotel was) across the pedestrian bridge and around the stadium.
I would say you would be better off parking about a mile away and walking through Honkey Tonk row to get to the games there.
I think the new stadium construction killed off a bit of the access and close in parking.

Oh...you're talking about Nashville! Took me a second to wrap my head around that. lol (my original reply was to John813 about Miami)

Yeah I went to Dallas - Titans game there a couple years ago. We just took an uber to the stadium. It was much easier that way. Then after the game, we walked across that pedestrian bridge to Broadway and hung out at the bars for awhile. Great area! Had a lot of fun there. My brother-in-law’s already talking about going back in 2027 to check out the new stadium. It’ll be interesting to see how the vibe feels with it being a dome. Seems like most NFL stadiums are going that way now.

Yeah, pretty cool how it's right next to Broadway. Although when games aren't being played, that bridge walk can be sketchy.
