I'm not sure this is the correct forum to post this thread, but I'm sure the mods will take care of it if it's not.

I subscribe to Sunday Ticket through DirecTV so I can catch all of the 'Boys' games. When I saw the slate of nationally televised games for the coming season, I thought I would try to get a better deal on my rate for the coming year. The normal renewal rate (for those who already have been getting it) is $229.95 per season. When I called to cancel my subscription (which I had no real intent of doing since I don't want to miss a single game), they first offered me the "Superfan" package for free ($100 value). When I told them that I wasn't interested in that and that the only thing that would possibly get me to keep the subscription was a drop in rate, I was put on hold for a minute and then offered the package $60 cheaper ($10 off my bill per month for 6 months). I kept the package for $170 vice the original $230.

If you currently have Sunday Ticket, a 10 minute phone call can save you $60 or get you a free Superfan package. Heck, if you're a better negotiator than me, you may get both. Hope this helps some of you out there.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. Where I live, I will see no less than 9 games on cable.

Yea, same here. I live in Rams country, but a lot of the "Boys' games get televised when it doesn't conflict with the Rams. Anyways, I don't feel quite so bad about paying for the package for a few games now. Best of luck to you, dozin'.

Wish I had the guts to do it. I have the NFL ticket only and no monthly package. I seem to be able to get away with it because I'm grandfathered in.

If they cut me off I would need to get a monthly if I resigned up. Thanks for the heads up tho, it will probably work for others.

I have the premiere package which includes all sports and movie channels, so the Superfan is given to me for free. Thanks for the information LandryFan.
