NFL Sunday Ticket options

Red Zone is only touchdowns/old highlights. If someone is looking to save money ( Even $15 a month) then a stat tracker is the best choice. RedZone is pretty much a poorman's NFL ticket
I had NFL Sunday ticket for years in Direct TV. Watching games no one cared about got old. We started watching the Red Zone and keeping up with every game seeing all the highlights, stats and scores at the same time. It instantly became must watch TV every week.

Every time a team enters the Red Zone another screen pops up. Watching 3 or 4 at once is pretty dang cool and you get the feeling you are watching the entire league schedule.

Heck, during the commercials of the Cowboys game we flip it over there every time. To this day we have the same routine each game day. I wouldn't want Sunday Ticket even if it were free because we would never watch it.

Just a little bit of info for some who may be like me and not stay up with ever evolving technology.
I typically get a set up and then forget about it. Years can go by and you dont realize how quickly your tech is getting outdated.

We have fast internet. Xfinity at 2Gbps speeds. My wife has an Orbi extender since we have a large house. I ran cat5 ethernet throughout our large house and all the way over to the room above my garage. I have a theater room in there with a 135 inch screen. I have 4 amazon firesticks in there for watching multiple games.... even though youtube also has multi gae screens available. Anyways, the router I have in that room is about 12 years old, and is simply not capable of delivering anywhere near the speeds my internet is capable of delivering.

My wifes Orbi extender is also only cable of connecting to the 1Gbps LAN, so even that extender is bottlenecking what our internet is capable of.

My point is simply for those of us around late 40s and up, stay up with your tech. Its changing as fast as your belly and hairline.

I did that for a couple seasons.. It was fine... but I like the Youtube paid version better. Never have to worry about it going down, and I can grab the multi screen and watch many games ta once.
I’ve had Sunday ticket for so many seasons and then I cut the cable cord. $200 with military discount that’s perfect for me.

We bought our 1st house in 1998 and I immediately got Direct TV so I could have the Sunday Ticket.I had it until about 2021? I got su frustrated with them due to problems with AT&T that after them messing up our bill and literally being on the phone for hours with them, I finally got rid of them and went to Xfinity. The Xfinity DVR sucks, but other than that, Ive had no issues. Directv used to be simply the best. Customer service was amazing, always getting free upgrades, and then the worst thing in the history of man happened. AT&T bought them and it was downhill from there.

Funny, Im preparing the man cave with an upgraded router, and knew Cat8 ethernet cabling for my movie room starting today. Seems my router Ive had for the past 12 years is a little old.....lol. I need to keep up with constant increase in internet speeds.
This should allow me to use 4 firesticks at once and never skip a beat. I will be forever grateful to direct tv though.

For those of us old enough to remember getting Cowboys highlights at halftime of MNF in the 70s, we lived through some exciting times. We got to go from over the air local radio to being able to stream the fan and get Cowboys info from anywhere in the country. We got to use Primestar which had east and west coast network feeds giving us far more games to watch. Then the Sunday ticket was in bars, allowing one of my greatest viewing experiences. Going to a local sports bar in Modesto Ca every Sunday and enjoying the game with literally HUNDREDS of Cowboys fans. To then getting my own dish and having the Ticket at home. Sadly, it killed the sports bar and all those great Cowboys gatherings.

To now, literally being able to watch everything from the nfl, even pre season. Youngsters have no idea the difficult road we traveled....lol

You're missing the point.

Just because you're not paying does not mean it's free.

Stealing anything makes something free to the person stealing, but it's not really 'free.'
exactly. How much does it cost to broadcast a game? Think of all the people that work on delivering us a single game. Think of all those people that had to travel to the game, stay in a hotel, get fed, then do the actual work. Hey, if you are broke and you must stream it to watch it.... I cant fault you. But how are we supposed to get entertainment if nobody is paying for it?

This is why old groups dont make much new music.

That is 100% not accurate. I can share my sunday ticket with 2 additional people outside my house. That is a FACT!
Well I am no expert, just read what I found online. If you can share, and they can connect with different IP's then more people should share, which I dont think they want .

it states right on my account, I can share with up to 2 family members.

with different ip address? living at another location?
Sharing inside the house with your family is not going to help someone who lives alone.
They should allow sharing with 1 person not your family and at another location, to help
people afford ST. but they be greedy.

All I want to see is every Cowboys game.

The better games otherwise end up in prime time or the 430 slot on Sunday and are on regular cable that I pay for anyway.

I wish youtube would sell teams or individual games a la carte, but since that would work for fans, I’m sure that’s why it won’t for them and why it’s not offered.

Something like 25 bucks for one game would be fair, and much cheaper than going to a bar, but they want you to have to buy the whole deal.

I’m a little too proud of my streak to not do whatever needs to be done. I can barely stand Jerry and his dumb act that has little to do with striving to contend for championships, but I love my Dallas Cowboys, which are bigger than him….although don’t go trying to tell him that.

they are so greedy that you can share with two people outside of your house. My daughter lives 100 miles away and has no problem watching at the same time I am. IN addition to that, I get a military discount and get the ticket for 199 dollars.

Yeah most streaming services have cracked down on sharing, but typically they will let you share with 1-2 different locations aside from your main residence, or have a limit (typically 2-4) on how many screens can use it at once. You can easily share as long as its not excessive.

Why would anyone get this when literally every game is online, free to stream?
Everytime I have tried to stream for free it has tried to infect my computers with all sorts of malware. Even when I've used sites that others swear by.

I would be open to the occassional stream if I could ever find a safe, reliable site.

I'm torn between getting Sunday Ticket on Youtube TV or just regular Youtube.

I've had it on Youtube TV the last couple of years, but they had early bird specials. This year, they don't seem to have that. However, first time purchasers through regular youtube can get it for about $100 cheaper.

Only thing holding me back is the extra steps, and delay, needed to switch back and forth when I want to watch a game that is airing locally as well.

I am a little extreme, but I have 4 firesticks in my movie room. I can stream the local game on one firestick, and then stream either one firestick with the 4 game splits, or stream 3 additional games on the fire sticks. In any event, the 4k firestick is currently 29 dollars on Amazon. It was well worth if for me. This would allow you to watch both the local game, and games on the tiket at the same time.

What device are you using for splitting the display image?
