Also, Dallas 2007 roster was essentially the same as 2006, the same roster that almost gave Bill Parcells a heart attack. Giants players had to fly down to Texas and support their former coach on the Cowboys sideline. It was Romo's entrance on the scene that actually saved the season and this idea that Parcells wanted to play Bledsoe, I don't believe. Parcells was always about his guys and tried hard to keep Bledsoe as QB. He brought in Drew, just like he brought in Vinny.
Pro bowl is essentially meaningless, because a large portion of the votes come from fans and they can vote as much as they want. Guys like Gurode, who were awful pre-Romo. made the pro-bowl when Dallas went 13-3. The only difference between 2007 and 2006 in reality is, Wade's defense and the Cowboys opening up the offense from it's conservative nature. They added a couple of journeymen OL like Leonard Davis, who was a bust in Arizona. Columbo was an average OL that was here for years and not even known. They also had Garrett calling the plays.
There was no Tyron Smith, Zach Martin, Ron Leary, Frederick, meaning basically three all pros on the team and the de facto best running game in the league built by arguably the best OL coach in the league in Bill Callahan.
The Cowboys weren't even running zone blocking schemes with Garrett and they were still running 2 WR sets when the league had moved on to three and onward.
So just stop this ridiculously dumb comparison.
