NFL Trade Deadline: 7 trade destinations for WR Cooper Kupp - Cowboys Mentioned

This is nothing more than the obligatory must mention Dallas. As if it ha any chance of happing anyway, this line in the story nails it shut: with a majority of his success coming in the slot and off of motion and free releases.

There is a proposed trade on a site I can't link..........Cowboys trading 2025 3rd and 6th-round picks to the Browns for Nick Chubb. ( the writer wouldn't say what he was smoking ....LOL)

NFL Trade Deadline: 7 trade destinations for WR Cooper Kupp, ranked
Story by Joseph Acosta
10/23/24

With the Los Angeles Rams season heading towards the pit of despair, many have speculated about the availability of star wideout Cooper Kupp. The 31-year-old receiver has been hot and cold to start this season, and with the NFL trade deadline approaching on Nov. 5, the rumors are starting to get a little bit louder.

With Los Angeles willing to take on some of Kupp’s salary and only asking for a second round pick in return, it feels like the end of Kupp’s tenure in LA is arriving soon. Kupp is an interesting receiver, with a majority of his success coming in the slot and off of motion and free releases. He might not be a fit for everyone, but with as many Shanahan and McVay offenses are out there, it’s definitely worth a shot. With that being said, which teams can and should trade for him? We ranked the top 7 destinations, starting with some real contenders.

1 . Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. Kansas City Chiefs
4. Los Angeles Chargers

5. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas’ season is barely hanging on by a thread, and the offense hasn’t been nearly as good as it once was. The biggest reason is the lack of a true threat outside of CeeDee Lamb at receiver. The Cowboys have seen the sixth-most routes run against man coverage this season, and as a unit have posted the seventh-worst EPA per target. They desperately need someone else to step up outside of Lamb, and Kupp would be that guy.

The only reason Dallas isn’t higher is because they might think they’re good with what they have (lol), and Kupp occupies the same spaces on the field as Lamb, so you’d get a lot of overlap. That being said, if anyone is going to make a big swing, might as well be the Cowboys.

6. San Francisco 49ers
7. Pittsburgh Steelers

Hard pass. Dallas is rebuilding. Not worth a 4th round pick to Dallas. WIth a new contract coming Dallas can't afford him.

Um......I'm going all in here. Water is wet, skies blue and the sun is coming up tomorrow. No trades and no meaningful additions. Peace

"Cowboys mentioned". Yeah, that's great. Now where is he actually going to play?

Come on Jerry, offer them a first. I have faith that you can get screwed over once again. Bozo

After MNF I'd expect Tampa to jump ahead as the top bidder. Godwin is done for the year and Evans is out for a while.

what's so farfetched there?

Cowboys should be total sellers. Most of the players on this team are bums. Load up on any and all draft picks you can.

I'd rather give a 3rd for Kamara. Neither is happening but Kupp would at least free up Lamb. Can't believe the Rams have imploded the way they have.
Rams aren't awful, but with all of the injuries and departures, they are not going anywhere either.

They really aren't great in any area right now. Oline is decimated, both top WRs are out, defense lost their HOFer and also have 4-5 injuries.
2-4
Mostly Cooked.

Other than one game, all of their wins and losses have been 1 score games.

1 score loss to Lions and Packers, 1 score win vs 49ers....etc

Now they have the Vikings:laugh:
