We drafted big hulking line backers....big hulking d-lineman. That is cool...but we do NOT need anymore. The Colts gave the Pats fits because they matched up with them with quickness. The best teams are spreading you out, and you better be able to cover. This is the draft where we add speed at WR and in the secondary. That is what we are going to need to compliment the strong guys we have. This is about making a long term run...and a few more guys that can run on defense....a few more guys that can allow Romo to put a defense on it's heels would allow us to run the table for a long time.

Speed at the needed positions, or be able to game plan with the speed you have........

being able to stuff the run still a necessary evil.......with most teams......chargers give up dang near 300 yds to A.Peterson......could you imagine the wail and teeth knashing if that had been our D..........Wade agrees with BP 100% in that regard.....not every team can spread it and deliver it like the Pats.....lets add A.Henry and Tank to the mix in a rematch, along with a few more games under the belt for Romo.......like our chances.

Seems like i caught an article back in the 90's....about the concept that Jimmy Johnson's 90's cowboys teams were that much "faster" than other nfl teams..........and it really was not so.....but he had speed at particular positions...

We need a Homerun WR with youth......Stanback in time?
We need a homerun hitting RB.......without giveing up the farm to get em'
another shut down corner is always a nice luxery to have.....

I think we are saying the same thing....you will need the big guys to win NFC East games....but we will need speed in the secondary and at WR to round this team out. And I would not count on Stanback to be the anwswer....I would like to add a fast slot guy. All I am saying is lets not get lulled into the next DL we can convert to a l'ber. We already have enough of those types. We are already having a hard time finding playing time for Hatcher and Carpenter...so let's not duplicate that position any further is all I am saying

The Colts' small, quick defense matched up well until they wore out. IMO, the key to great defense is good depth.
