NFL TV MAP - Week 4

Ditto out of the NY market. $399 a year, sheesh

That's why I cancelled. Not just the $399 a year, but also I had to keep at least basic DirecTV to get the ticket and that was another $60 a month. It was just not worth it.

But now I have to watch the Giants play NO and the Jets play Tenn. Both teams will be 0-4 Monday.

Wow they wanted $399 a year?

I was able to buy their steaming direct TV service because I am technically a college student (though I don’t live on campus). But that was only $100 for the season.

Are they selling the streaming service by itself or do you have to have a DirecTV subscription? They wanted me to have DirecTV before I could get Sunday Ticket.

Apparently Sunday Ticket still requires a DirecTV subscription. The streaming service deal is a limited offer.

Anyone not have DirecTV at their present address? If you never had it you should check to see if you are eligible for streaming only. I had DirecTV and cancelled and when I tried to see if I was eligible for the streaming service deal they told me I wasn't. I suspect it is because I had DirecTV at my address in the past. I am certain they do not want people dropping DirecTV and then signing up for Sunday Ticket alone.

I should have bought that through my daughter in college.

I pay $399/year but don't have a direct tv package. I'm grand fathered in since 1996. Through out my old analog dish 4 years ago and just stream. Pretty good app for it on Roku.

Yeah I don't have to pay the $60/month since I'm grandfathered in. Which basically means I've been paying them tons of money since 1996...lol

If you know anyone in college. They can buy the streaming only service still. I am in grad school so I was able to sign up.

I enjoy watching every team in the NFL more when the Cowboys are winning but Sunday afternoon looks like a suckfest. Don't think I can even get excited watching Mahomes hang a 40 burger on Philly.

Nice man. Are you streaming Sunday ticket? Good quality?

Yes. I stream it on their app, on my Xbox. The Xbox is connected to the router with a wire. So not on WiFi.

that being said the picture quality is great. Every once in a while the picture quality dips but then returns right back to crystal clear again after a second or two.

The app is cool too because you can switch to other games very quickly. You can watch multiple games at once if you want.

Also if you’re watching one game. There will be pop ups, allowing you to watch major highlights from the other game, like touchdowns and turnovers, and field goals, etc. so if you click the pop up. It shows you the highlight and then takes you right back to the game you were watching.

Basically it’s like having NFL red zone but you having control over it.

it’s pretty nice.

Stream it is. Rams and cards. No thanks. Why does the kc metro get this pos game and just 40 mins away its Cowboys and panthers. So dumb.

Not getting the broadcast in the DMV area. That’s cool. I’ll go to work for some double time and watch it on my phone

Ok, I now am reconsidering my retirement in NW Montana. For some unfathomable reason, the Seattle game is shown rather than the Cowboys.

Forget the majestic mountains, the great lakes and fly fishing, the herds of elk, the innumerable microbreweries and the general, live and let live attitude, this my be a deal-breaker.

DOH!!! I'm about 30 miles from watching the Cowboys, and right smack in the middle of Giants territory.

On a side note. The NFL really needs to get with the times

Sunday ticket via streaming should be available to everyone. I imagine once their contract with Direct TV expires. This will be the case.

I have lived in the Houston Market since 2006 and in my experience, when the Texans and Cowboys play at the same time, the Cowboys are normally not televised. I know because these are the only games every year that are not televised (1-3 during a typical season) and I go to a sports bar. When the schedule comes out, the first thing I do is look for those games so I can see how many I might have to make arrangements for.. didn't know that if the Texans are away they will televise the Cowboys game even if at the same time until I was educated earlier in the thread.
I'm in Houston too and do the same thing with the schedule... it looks like this year we are only missing two games - Week 9 and 14. What confuses me is week 9 the Dolphins host the Texans (AFC vs. AFC) and yet FOX is broadcasting the game. You would think CBS would cover that game, which would free up the Cowboys game for us to watch. Must be some weird flex game in the network's contract.

The Dolphins play at home so I guess I'll have to stream or watch Redzone.
