Great work and it's very much appreciated.

But the salary figure with out the bonus amount prorated for that year doesn't give the the cap figure. Or the real outlay for that player.

We all know that Fitzgerald, Boldin, Williams and many other actually cost their teams more than the salary listed.

This was all done as base salary - designed to give a very basic game-by-game "dollars per catch" type snapshot. You could certainly look deeper at it and take a look at cap figures and such and whether or not it hamstrings the franchise for the upcoming season or not, but as I said this was designed to purely pacify the "he needs to play up to his contract" crowd about any WR in the league. Players don't get paid their cap figure, they get paid their base salary.

Antonio Bryant made $9.9 million last year!?

I think I could guarantee 1/10th of his production, in his best year, if they would give me 1/10th of his pay. Hell, I'd settle for 1/100th of his pay!

Since it's going to be an uncapped year, we don't have to worry about who's going to be making what in 2010 (although I'm sure some here will talk about it ad nauseam).

What we need to be hoping for is that a lot of the players are going to receive big payouts this year. Then when the cap is restored, Dallas won't owe them much toward it.

I think Jerry Jones would be smart to restructure several deals so the players will receive the bulk of the money owed as bonuses this season.

I know this information concerns the 2009 season, but I just thought this was a good place to say these things.

I don't want to look at all of those...is there even a pattern?

You also have to take into account injuries and qb play.

Seattle has a ton of money invested into that WR corps, but they all got hurt.
