I compare Daks gaffe to my frustrations with my family at a drive through .. we go to a restaurant to grab a quick bite on the road .. the menu is pretty much the same and memorized .. everyone says they know what they want before we get to the order speaker etc ... they tell me what to order them before .. we get to the area .. the drive through person welcomes me and says order when I’m ready .. To be honest, I don't know how the Cowboys got the ball in the 2nd half after listening to the replay. He said defense, we want to kick, then defer to the 2nd half. Is it the first or last thing you say that counts? Defense means nothing, no such choice.

Yeah we remember all those times of confusion. This has nothing to do with the moron who can't call a coin flip properly.

This seems to make the most sense. Hard to argue with it. The only drawback would be teams that want to play D to start both halves. And that's probably happened a handful of times over the last 40 years.
