Did they make the win? Will they make the playoffs? Will he play anymore in NFLE?

They lost 13-10. The headline and article on the recap of the game was something like, Team cannot win without Henson. The article went on to say "Baldinger is a moron for his utterly slave like fascination with TimmahChang." Of course, I could be off a little on my recap. I'm not a trickblue or InmanRoshi, ya know.

Here's the quote Funxva made reference to...

Needing to win to keep their destiny in their own hands, the Fire’s offense was unable to make anything happen without Drew Henson at quarterback. The injured Dallas Cowboys allocated passer was replaced by Timmy Chang (Philadelphia Eagles), who completed 14 of 26 passes for 163 yards, and was unable to pull out the victory for the Fire at the end of the game.

As an FYI, Chang was sacked six times.

That's the offensive line that Henson has been playing behind all season.

Thanks Juke. :) I knew I might have misquoted somewhere in there.;)

Interesting read....looks like Chang was sacked 8 times this season to Henson's 11. Henson had more than double the attemps (183 vs. 89).

Well, saying Henson has more escapability than Chang I guess isn't much to brag about...But its an apples to apples comparision on the same team. Although I thought I did see some O-line injuries in the Rhein at the begining of the year.. ? Not sure if that came into play.

Not sure if Henson will play next week, but I like the experience he gained in NFLE.

The Fire still have a chance to advance but will need a win and a little help next week. Regardless I think the time in NFLE has been helpful to Henson and look forward to seeing him in training camp this summer.

Everyone.....thank you for the input!

Guess we just need to get Drew back to Dallas in on piece for training camp and he can compete for #2 with Romo

My guess is he will stay with the fire until the season is over and depending of the severity of the injury that will determine if he gets anymore snaps over with them.

Drew has taken a few sacks - but he's shown he can react under pressure -- he's had a ton of incompletes on rushed passes or just plain throw aways.

Drew has the talent to dominate in NFLE -- he just doesn't have the guys around him to do it.

I agree totally, in the three games I was able to watch him play.....you would have to be an expert to decide which was worst.....his offensive line or his WR's and TE?

IMO it was a draw.....they took turns being awful!

I dismiss all the numbers he put up....good or bad...it was never about numbers to begin with.

I am sure the Cowboy brass isn't interested in his passer rating.

I think they are looking at how he protected the ball...how he went through his progressions...How he behaved in the pocket, ie, pocket awareness....etc.

And from those standpoints, I think (as Parcells said) there has been progress.

Henson also tried to tough it out last week after the injury...and that meant alot as well.

Timmy completed 14 passes but 11 were to his runningbacks. Only 3 passes to his WR's.

Yeah, he was pretty awful, considering how he played in relief previous two weeks, coming out swinging etc. As soon as he had starters job, seems like he forgot how to throw all of sudden or got that deer in headlights look, holding the ball too long on few occasions, which is why he was sacked 6 times. I counted at least 3 of those were completely his fault, where he did Rob Johnson/Drew Bledsoe impression of holding the ball too long even when he got pretty decent protection.

i think it's going to be important enough to see how he reacts to injury to leave him there to find out.

I think the kid has more than proven himself over there. Anyone who sees the footage and still doesn't think so, simply doesn't want to for whatever perverse reason that I simply don't want to understand.

The Answer agrees, Henson has secured a spot on this roster as the 3rd QB for at least another season. I watched most of the NFLE games this spring, and although he didn't look phenomenal, he wasn't pathetic either. It would have been nice if he could have emerged as the undisputed champion of the 'minor leagues', but he slowed down against better competition over there and then was ultimately hurt.

Another concern is that he is only the 3rd or 4th best QB over there, at least in terms of stats. The guys ahead of him (Hamdan, Ochs, Cambpell) had much better seasons but have no chance of making the teams that allocated them over there roster. So I have to wonder what the front office will be thinking about that. But in any event it seems Henson will find a way to hang around on the depth charts for the 2006 season. I'm not really concerned about the 3rd QB anyway since that position is usually inactive for most of the season. We have our starter and the Italian Stallion Tony Romo backing us up!

Here's to Henson fighting the good fight and having a good camp!

If you're going to keep the lame third person schtick up, at least be consistent.

The Answer is only concerned with consistency in his football players, not as a singular entity or online persona.

But you have to watch the games to understand whats available and whats not.

When you have receivers injured, OL who cant pass block, and not to mention many dropped balls the way you manage the game isn't going to reflect well in stats.

If Henson would've been playing for Amsterdam there is no doubt in my mind he would be leading in every statistical category.
