I put the 3 rounds before we pick and after we pick in case we trade down;
http://nflhouse.com/draft/static/2010-nfl-mock-draft.html
24. Philadelphia Eagles – Carlos Dunlap, Defensive End, Florida
Andy Reid is known for placing a high value on offensive and defensive lineman. And with the current ends not being overly productive, he could look to address that slot early on in this draft. Dunlap isn’t as elite of a prospect as I once thought, and his smaller lower body and inconsistent play means he’ll have to be rotational to start his career. The Eagles have the luxury and even if they trade down, Dunlap still could be there.
25. Baltimore Ravens – DeMaryius Thomas, Wide Receiver, Georgia Tech
With the offensive line, running back, and even quarterback positions loaded with depth, youth, and elite talents, the only offensive spot left to address is the receiver position. They acquired Anquan Boldin, but it remains to be seen if he can be a number one receiver or if he needs an athletic body opposite him. A guy I’ve loved for most of the season, Thomas has great potential and although a little raw, he could develop into a frontline receiver.
26. Arizona Cardinals – Jerry Hughes, Defensive End (OLB), TCU
With two of their best players gone this off-season in Anquan Boldin and Antrel Rolle, the Cardinals will need to address their replacements sometime soon. However, a big need for the Cardinals since Ken Whisenhunt instituted the 3-4 defense is finding that consistent pass rushing threat on the outside. Hughes isn’t as elite of a pass rusher as they maybe would like in a 1st rounder, but Hughes can step in opening day as a starter and could develop into a consistent 8-10 sack a season type of player.
27. Dallas Cowboys – Mike Iupati, Offensive Guard, Idaho
I’ve thought for a while that the Cowboys were in for a collapse in a few years if they didn’t address getting younger along the offensive line. And now with Flozell Adams out as their left tackle, they’ll need to find a starter in this draft. While I don’t believe Iuptati can be a long-term left tackle, he can play there if need be during this season until the find a guy in the next few years drafts. Either way, Iupati can be an outstanding guard or right tackle starter for many years.
28. San Diego Chargers – Ryan Matthews, Running Back, Fresno State
With the loss of LT and no other running backs on the roster that are starting material, the Chargers may have to draft for need, which is never a good thing. Matthews plays a lot like Tomlinson as a runner, but he lacks the ability to be an effective blocker or receiver. Jamal Williams retiring also makes nose tackle a huge need as well, and this pick could fluctuate between Matthews, Jahvid Best, and Terrence Cody right up until draft day.
29. New York Jets – Taylor Mays, Safety, USC
I think by now, everyone knows and understands the knocks on Taylor Mays. While he’s an outstanding and rare athlete, he hasn’t meshed those skills with instictiveness to be a productive safety. However, if any coach could turn a great talent like Mays into a Pro Bowler, it’s Rex Ryan. Kerry Rhodes is out at safety and Mays plus Rex Ryan plus cornerbacks that don’t need that much help could form a great defensive backfield.
30. Minnesota Vikings – Terrence Cody, Defensive Tackle, Alabama
The Vikings don’t have a lot, if any, major 1st round needs which is why this pick could be very flexible. As of now, I think finding a long term replacement for Pat Williams should be a very high priority, because he really allows Kevin Williams and Jared Allen to be dominate. However, this pick could very easily be Tim Tebow or Colt McCoy. If the Vikings feel that they need that future QB now, this would be the slot to take him. Or, if a team like the Browns or Commanders or Bills that miss on a top 10 quarterback really feel they need one, this could be the trade slot to jump up and grab him.
31. Indianapolis Colts – Mauricke Pouncey, Center, Florida
Bill Polian made it clear that, although the team doesn’t think so, the reason they lost the Super Bowl was because of their poor offensive line play. With Charlie Johnson and Tony Ugoh, it would be hard to think offensive tackle in this spot. However, with Jeff Saturday on his way out soon at age 34, they’ll need to find a new “franchise” center for the future and a guard to start early on. They could look for a defensive tackle like Jared Odrick or a defensive end like Everson Griffin to help Dwight Freeney out, but Pouncey is a great value here.
32. New Orleans Saints – Everson Griffin, Defensive End, USC
The Saints have said that they feel they need to address the defensive line in this draft, and they are at the perfect slot to get a guy at that position. With Charles Grant gone and Will Smith getting towards 30, it’s time to start thinking of developing a good pass rusher that can be a staple for many years. Griffin needs some developing so he’s a good fit for a team with two capable starters for now. Plus, this could be an optimum place for a team to trade up for a quarterback like Tebow or McCoy to end Day One of the draft.
2nd round
56. Green Bay Packers – Donovan Warren, Cornerback, Michigan
A raw cornerback, may be too much like Ahmad Carroll, but he’s a good value here.
57. Baltimore Ravens – Darryl Washington, Outside Linebacker, TCU
The Ravens love smart linebackers, and he could be a future replacement for Ray Lewis.
58. Arizona Cardinals – Arrelious Benn, Wide Receiver, Illinois
The need for receiver isn’t huge, but Benn provides physicality to aid without Boldin.
59. Dallas Cowboys – Damian Williams, Wide Receiver, USC
Roy Williams hasn’t worked thus far and they don’t have many young receivers.
60. San Diego Chargers – D’Anthony Smith, Defensive Tackle, Louisiana Tech
After solving their running back questions, getting a left tackle is key.
61. New York Jets – Geno Atkins, Defensive Tackle, Georgia
Coach Ryan knows the value of 3-4 DEs, and Atkins is among the best in this draft.
62. Minnesota Vikings – Colt McCoy, Quarterback, Texas
If no to Tebow/McCoy in round one, McCoy is a lot like McNabb for Coach Childress.
63. Indianapolis Colts – Dekota Watson, Outside Linebacker, Florida State
They’re linebackers are solid, but Watson could be an upgrade/depth that is needed.
64. New Orleans Saints – Sean Lee, Inside Linebacker, Penn State
Vilma is set at inside linebacker, but Lee can provide a strong side ’backer.
3rd round
86. Green Bay Packers – Selvish Capers, Offensive Tackle, West Virginia
He fits the zone blocking scheme plus he can be a starter at right or left tackle.
87. Philadelphia Eagles – Stafon Johnson, Running Back, USC
They need a power back and Johnson has enough strength and agility to be productive.
88. Baltimore Ravens – Anthony McCoy, Tight End, USC
Todd Heap doesn’t have many years left and McCoy can be an every-down tight end.
89. Arizona Cardinals – Myron Rolle, Safety, Florida State
The defense needs a leader at safety, and Rolle an fill that role with his smarts and ability.
90. Dallas Cowboys – Rennie Curran, Outside Linebacker, Georgia
I’ve never been sold on their inside linebackers, and Curran can fit in that role.
91. San Diego Chargers – Syd’Quan Thompson, Cornerback, California
They traded Cromartie, and while Cason can start, they still need depth.
92. Cleveland Browns – Jarrett Brown, Quarterback, West Virginia
Holmgren is known for taking chances on developmental QBs, and Brown could thrive.
93. Minnesota Vikings – Jamar Wall, Cornerback, Texas Tech
Among the best Cover 2 CBs in this draft, Wall could eventually be a starter for this team.
94. Indianapolis Colts – Tyson Alualu, Defensive Tackle, California
An undersized defensive tackle, he could play end or tackle and rotate at both spots.
95. New Orleans Saints – JD Walton, Center, Baylor
They need depth along the O-Line, and Walter may challenge as a starter quickly.
96. Cincinnati Bengals – Jon Asamoah, Offensive Guard, Illinois
Their offensive line is good, but adding depth and a best like Asamoah can’t hurt.
97. Tennessee Titans – Stevenson Sylvester, Outside Linebacker, Utah
A good fit for the system, Sylvester might be asked to start early on.
98. Atlanta Falcons – Livall Joseph, Defensive Tackle, East Carolina
They need a nose tackle next to Peria Jerry, and the big-bodied Joseph should do well.
