My favorite line was from Jimmy Johnson quoting Jerry Jones:

"You handle the football and I'll handle the business and we'll make history"

How prophetic that line was, and what a shame that the man who said it forgot about it.

:(

Wow:eek: I'm watching Jimmy talk about the week leading up to that 2nd Super Bowl against the Bills. He said the local media always came into practice the first part of the week and took some video for what they called B rolls where they would have some practice segment rolling while they casually discussed the upcoming game on the local news.

Jimmy said he happened to turn to the local news during Super Bowl week and saw Jim Kelly practicing the shovel pass. He said he was pretty sure he had never seen the Bills run the shovel pass at all. So he approached his DC and told him about it. The two of them sat there during Super Bowl week and watched game film dating back to the first game of the year and the Bills had not run the shovel pass all season long.

So the Boys ended up stuffing every shovel pass attempt during the big game (some for a loss) and even caused Thurman Thomas to cough one up with a vicious hit immediately after the ball was shoveled to him. You know the rest.

That, my friends, is coaching.

thats what we need in another head coach, one that is very good as a phsychological major, knows football too, knows how to motivate players, kick their rear ends when needed, and can handle jerry jones.

Sounds like Bill Cowher to me. (except the psychology major thing!)

But that would take a big change in Jerry Jones and the way he handles things.

But that line from Jimmy summed it up perfectly for me.

Jerry Jones is a great business man who does great things for the team in that capacity.

But he cannot be all things to all people and the sooner he realizes where his strengths and weaknesses lie, the better off he - and the rest of us - will be.
