They have a breaking news on the bottom of the screen that he may get the axe come Monday.

Really, Al Davis is just... wow. Theres so many directions I could go with this. It's like picking on the fat kid in high school who always eats dessert.

The Raiders finally have some talent, but it'll mean jack if they rotate a new Head Coach every other year or so. I'm guessing Ryan or some other yes-man takes the HC spot.

Who in their right mind would take that job?

At least Kiffin walks away with a lot of money and can say he was a head coach in the NFL, and actually won a few games for perhaps the most dysfunctional organization in all of sports.

So does he become a TV analyst the rest of the season?

Maybe he'll write a book about how aweful it is to work for someone like Al Davis.

Then he'll be coaching at USC again.

I always hear the stuff about Jerry being a meddling owner with his hands all over the team not giving his coach any power and just overall micromanaging. To me, those things describe one Al Davis.

Maybe he can coax Buddy Ryan to come and be his interim coach.
Then people can hate Oakland universally.:D;)

There's not an established former head coach around who would touch that job. My bet is it will end up being one of the coordinators.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't turn the entire coaching staff over, because I would bet money not a single one of those coaches would touch the HC position with a 10 foot pole. You're better off rolling the dice and trying to find a position with another team instead of being the sacrificial lamb who's staring at another 3-13 season directly in the face.

People say Jerry is a meddling owner, and while he was/is for the longest time, he's nothing compared to Al Davis. That team won't be competitive until he croaks and someone who knows a damn thing about football starts running the team.

Wasn't he supposed to be fired last Monday? I guess they're just going to put up that he's too be possibly fired on Monday until they pick the right Monday.
