It was on NFL Network tonight, reairing tomorrow.

Romo was #9. A couple spots low I think. They mostly talked about how he dated Jessica and Carrie. *facepalm*

They put Gates at #7, ahead of Romo and Rod Smith. I thought that was complete BS.

10. Wayne Chrebet
9. Tony Romo
8. Rod Smith
7. Antonio Gates
6. Warren Moon
5. Adam Vinatieri
4. Marion Motley
3. John Randle
2. Night Train Lane
1. Kurt Warner

Sorry if a repost, y'all.

How many years until Miles knocks Chrebet out of the tenth spot?

No matter how clutch Vinatieri has been, I have a hard time accepting a kicker on this list.

Wayne Chrebet over Drew Pearson?
Mark Tuinei and Nate Newton were all-pro linemen that weren't drafted.
How about Wes Welker?
Sam Mills?

Welker and Drew Pearson already should have.

Pearson was drafted, it was like the 12th round or something, but he was drafted.

Its a joke to even put a kicker in front of any of those guys. How the hell does a freak athlete like Antonio Gates not get drafted?

that's not true. drew pearson wasn't drafted.

Drew was not drafted. Line 5 of his own website.

How that list can not have Cliff Harris is beyond me. Mark Tuinei and Nate Newton as well.

A Kicker? Are you freaking kidding me?

Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson were the first ones to come to mind. No way Chrebet belongs on that list ahead of them. Harris is a 6-time Pro-Bowl and 3 time 1st team All-Pro player who has been a finalist for the HoF (criminal that he didn't get in GRRRR). Pearson was a 3 time PB and 3 time AP player who was clutch in big games for us. That means that Drew was recognized as the best WR in the league 3 times!

Chrebet was a nice second WR who was never selected for anything. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

I did like that they had Dick "Night Train" Lane at #2. One of the top-3 at his position in NFL history IMO.

Having Chrebet in there over Pearson, Harris, Newton, and Tuinei is just stupid IMO.

Agree on Night Train. I wouldn't bark if he were #1.

What a BS list. Chrebet was an awesome player to watch, but there were quite a few that surpassed him. Most kickers are undrafted, so I'm not sure how one made a list like this.

Bill Bates should be on the list over a couple of those guys.

especially a kicker from nowhere (something like South Dakota U.)

1. Bias towards offensive skill positions.
2. Bias towards recent players.
3. Bias towards players who made highlight reel plays in the playoffs, during the ESPN era.

These are also the reasons for Vinatieri and Chrebet being on the list.

On a related note, the NFL has a month-old, longer list from Gil Brandt on the same topic:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d816fb4f0&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

1. Warner
2. Lane
3. Emlen Tunnell
4. Moon
5. Willie Brown
6. Willie Wood
7. Joe Perry
8. Lou Groza
9. Cliff Harris
10. Cornell Green
11. Emmitt Thomas
12. John Randle
13. Antonio Gates
14. Priest Holmes
15. Brian Waters
16. Tony Romo
17. Coy Bacon
18. Nate Newton
19. Dave Grayson
20. Vinatieri
21. Larry Little
22. Jeff Saturday
23. Donnie Shell
24. Deron Cherry
25. Jim Langer
and so forth.

It looks like a much better list than NFLN's, to me.

Hall of Famer Larry Little former Miami Dolphin should be on the list. 5 time Pro Bowler, NFL's '70's all-decade team Guard, and member of the only undefeated team in league history........

Edit: Thanks for that list Fat Toad.
