nflpa.com

Never really went there to begin with, certainly not enough to make it weird.

Ive never been to the site. So I have no idea what would be weird about it if I did go now.

The player union has been dumb up to htis point. right now the NFL is suing then claiming their decertification is a sham (meaning they're claiming to no longer exist but still operating as a union). If after certification they are actively updating this website, then this is evidence the NFL can easily use to prove that their decertification is in fact a sham. Since I'm on the ownders' side of this dispute, I'm hoping the NFLPA stupidly continues to update their website.

:lmao2: That's some of the funniest crap I have ever seen!

Okay! We, the union, have a website which disseminates information for our members, media and fans.

Wait! We must decertify for our demands to be met in court. So, technically, we are not a union anymore. We cannot be preceived as a union anymore. We're a bunch of individuals now! So, how can we, the union, now disseminate information for our members, media and fans?

Oh yeah! We will shut down our official union website and embed a link within it which will direct our members, media and fans to a pseudo scaled down version of the same website for doing the exact ... same ... thing.

Talk about "smoke and mirrors". :laugh2:

And that there is evidence that they are still operating as a union.

What most people don't realize is the owners agreed to allow the decertification option when they signed the last agreement, and specifically waived their right to call such an action a sham.

Gene Upshaw didn't want to re-certify the union in the first place -- he wanted to negotiate as a trade association. The owners demanded that the players be unionized, since their antitrust exemption is contingent on the existence of a player's union. The players agreed, but only in exchange for the right to decertify when the CBA expires without the NFL being able to hold it against them.

Whoops!

Didn't see that 'licensee portal' link located at the bottom of the webpage as well.

Good stuff! GOOD stuff! :laugh2:
