NFLPA report cards, 2025

Damn, what do the Bengals do to deserve a F- for treatment of families?

From what I’ve read, there’s no where for the player’s families/kids to relax during games, no daycare, no special services for the families, etc.

One anonymous Bengals player called the organization’s treatment of families “almost disrespectful” and they want their families to have more than “just a tent outside in the cold”.

Basically, they want perks for the players’ families that every other team has.

But this is the third year in a row they’ve gotten an F from players in that category, so it looks like the FO doesn’t care.

It seems like spending a bit of money on making your players’ families happy seems like a no brainer. It is good for morale and knowing the team will treat your family well is attractive to free agents.

I guess it's just me and it's easy to spend other people's money but if I owned a team I would be embarrassed to get anything other than A's or a maybe a B

It's really interesting to see what actual players think about various elements of their team, from food to locker room to head coach and ownership. I have to admit to being shocked that McCarthy earned an "A" and JJ a "B".

This team played for the big blue M&M. Remember if it was not for a dump player on special teams, the Jonesboys may have made the playoffs.

I forget the player, but there was a quote that came out right after the regular season this year that basically said just that. Apparently the Cowboys hire less support staff than most other teams around the league.
Funny thing is many teams use internships for people in PT programs and it’s realky cheap. Your head trainer might cost some but his staff can’t be that expensive. Cut Rowdy and add more staff lol

The players obviously were team Big Mike.

Actually surprised that Jerry Jones didn't receive a higher grade. Jerry the owner is and has been HOF worthy. The only knocks on Jerry the owner are the facts that he won't fire his GM and replace his EVP.

Jerry the GM would likely receive a "D" or "F" in this poll. The way he handled the 2024 offseason deserves an "F" grade.

Jerry the owner meddled in the business of coaches trying to hold players accountable. They would circumvent the coach and complain to Jerry directly leading to culture and accountability issues

Add that to the knocks on Jerry the owner.

I think it’s more about a lack of training staff as in medical care not working out. They seemed to like the facilities but not enough staff for treatments is what I got out of it
Which I would exect team leaders would go to Jerry demanding that be fixed.

Seems like a cheap thing to fix. Every college in the area that offers PT or sports medicine programs would love to send interns to get real world experience

I'm not surprised we have high rankings.

It's a cush job being a Cowboy player. There's no ramifications for not performing. You can even podcast all week and talk about how great other teams and players are, and trash ur own teammates, and there's zero consequences

Pair that with the fact that we draft the type of self serving players that LOVE working at a place where they aren't pushed and can just give half effort.

Lots of players in the league would hate that...because they want to play for a lean winning team that pushes players, coaches, and staff alike hard to excel....but we don't have those types. We get the types that will show up late to meetings, go on vacations and chill during the season, and just like the easy life. Hence....webget high grades.

Players need to love their team and teammates to have success. They do not need to love or even like the head coach.

We have been regaled with stories about how Johnson worked relentlessly through success to keep the team on edge.

We have heard stories about Woodson, Irvin, Aikman, and the leaders of the team not understanding why Johnson was freaking out after a win and resenting him for it.

These ranking end up in a weird take for me. I can see how this could lead to player development and esprit de corps. I can also see how this leads to issues as the season goes on and injuries pile up.

We do not play our best football in the Winter. MM tried to make it a priority. We did finish Decembers a bit better but it was not enough to get wins in January.
