1 Pro Bowl his whole career, for example

But he was also a really good punter

Martin has never been a yearly finalist since his first year of eligibility in 1988. Never.

He is an example why I think Board of Selectors deliberations and voting should be public. Martin was a preliminary nominee in 2003 ( link ), 2004 ( link ) and 2005 ( link ).

That's it. Martin's name never advanced beyond the first "throw all the names in a hat" round three straight years then nothing. Insane.

Yep. Don't think he is HOF worthy either.
This was the best of the rest.
I thought he had better stats than that.
I can see why he was left off the list now.

Cowboy players aside, there are a lot of other surprising names that are not in the HOF.

There are certainly guys on these rosters that are HOF worthy players besides the cowboys players who certainly are

He doesn't know any better. He thinks he knows everything & disagrees w/every poster. I've had him on ignore for quite sometime. Big shot bully behind a keyboard that's all. He forgets this is a family forum & could be replying to a youngster. Yes, folks do forget things, it's not like the Dallas Cowboys are the most important thing in people's lives lol.
