Watched it live on TV back in the4 day. First time I ever cried about the ending of a Cowboy game.
I believe I have only a few more years of analysis and the nervous tic from that event will diminish to the point it is hardly noticeable. So I'll have to pass on watching this game.

I could have made this exact post two deep.
We were the better team with the better record. This was our yr. until that stupid ice storm froze the city solid. We had a great speed advantage that was completely negated by the weather.
Most people forget that home field advantage did not go by records back then. They rotated venues and that yr it was gb turn to have a home playoff game. We win that game 9/10 times played on a good field !

I've watched that game 4-5 times. Awesome football. Indirectly it's the reason that I'm a Cowboys fan. My dad grew up a Packers fan. But watching Landry and his team my old man started falling in love with the Cowboys (He is a Chemical Engineer hence the affinity for Landry's intellectual approach). The Ice Bowl sealed the deal. From that day until the day Landry was fired he was a die hard Cowboys fan.
