Anyone besides Superpunk and I watching? If anyone is interested in checking it out that isn't familiar, now is the time to do so.

The Capitals/Penguins matchup is the one the sport has been waiting for for an eternity.....and it might actually live up to the hype. The first playoff series between two teams with what may be three or four of the best talents the game has ever seen. Lots of intriguing story lines in the other series too.

Ovechkin > Crosby or Malkin ;)

Go CAPS!

I logged exactly 0 minutes of the regular hockey season, but I have caught some of the first round of the Caps/Rangers.

I'm going to try to catch a bit of this series as well.

Good to see the Caps doing well. I like Ted Leonsis... he's a good guy.

He most definitely is. I've met him....as have many Caps fans. IMO he's the best owner in Sports. He's constantly wandering the hallways in the Verizon Center after games giving high fives to fans. His blog is kept up to date nearly everyday. He shares everything with his people. He's awesome, and would do anything for his team and its fans.

Oh man....how pissed am I at Superpunk right now. You lucky SOB.

What an incredible game.

Screw Norris. Screw Buehler. Ovechkin is a god.

BTW....Crosby's last goal. Bull ****. Can you say "high sticking"?

This series could propel the nhl back into the national spotlight, but I guess that isnt going to happen this year.

You dont have to be an nhl fan to enjoy this series, this series may make an nhl fan out of you though.

It is destined to go 7 and be tied in the 3rd period.

Its jordan vs bird, magic vs isiah...gretzky vs mario etc etc etc....

It is fabulous to watch, throw in the greatness of Doc emerick and it has everything you could want as a fan.

when washington fell behind to the rangers I was pretty ticked off, thank god they pulled it out.

I really wish these games were on a bigger network.

If you watched any of the series last year, during the regular season or any of these games so far you will realize this is something special.

all the hype over the celtics and bulls and basically a flat line for this nationally which sucks.

the wings ducks and canucks hawks series are very good also.

I still cant believe carolina beat the devils last week and knocked them out.

Crosby is a girl who should bow down to Alexander the great.

Its early in the series and alex was at home. I have a sneaking suspicion it will be 2-2 in few days.

Crosby's skill level is incredible, the ability to hit that puck in mid air is just ridiculous.

alex is more physical and more animated. Crosby's pens beat them last year but the caps are a better team this season.

I am not sure anyone beats detroit again though, they are a well oiled machine.

I don't take anything for granted when these two teams meet, but it's sure starting to look like the roles have been reversed. In the few years prior to this the Pens owned the Capitals. This year the Caps are 5-0-1 against the Pens.

As far as the Ovie-Crosby argument, I think it's one that will last an eternity. The players are so very different...it almost seems impossible to compare. Both are amongst the best to ever play the game...and they've barely even started their careers...

..but one thing is for sure, I'm glad we have Ovechkin, and not that whiny little ***** Crosby! :D

yeah there is no doubt pittsburgh is not as good a team this season. Without hossa they dont have the scoring threat like last year allowing people to go after crosby more.

Even though all signs point to caps in 5 I have feeling, and hope since I have no interest since my team the stars have been toast for awhile that it goes 7.

I wish this was the stanley cup finals.

Game 7 here we come.

fleury cant give up goals that he gave up tonight...Pens should have closed them out today.

I think the caps are going to be awful tough to beat in washington.

Good call Theebs.

This is exactly what the NHL wanted to see....outside of some pretty bad officiating, this has been an outstanding series.....Go CAPS!

As a Ranger fan, I am absolutely rooting for Carolina to go all the way. I can not stand Crosby or Ovie anymore.

I could go into the conspiracy theories about how the NHL wants their stars in a series against each other....but that's a whole nother discussion :laugh2:

Also, if Detroit doesn't beat Anaheim, Chicago is going to the finals, and can win it. That would be something.

Well, back in 1999, I think it was, when the Stars were in the Cup I follwed it pretty closely for the first time in me life. I didn't really understand it all that well(wth is off sides anyway?) but it was entertaining. Not since.

id like to see game 7 of the caps and penguins, but i dont have VS!

NBC would rather air golf over a game 5 in this epic series?

Ouch.
