It only took one play to see what type of talent he has. It's a nice start but I still would like to see him a little more involved.

Price will get involved, but he just doesn't look as comfortable as Crayton out there. He's a role player. I dunno what it is, but you don't even see Bledsoe looking for Price all too much when he is out there. Price was pretty damn open, because the Eagles were in Zone, if I remember correctly, so he slipped by it.

Crayton is a better player, or at least has looked it this year with Bledsoe. Crayton was clutch when he was playing and a guy that we could count on. Were Crayton playing last night, I think he would've had a field day with Glenn being doubled and Witten getting so much attention. Crayton is that 4th dimension in our passing game that really makes us lethal. Like philthy last night was able to double Glenn and keep him mostly quiet until the end. They were able to mitigate Witten for the most part. Every team can single cover Key, he will make a few catches but he won't beat you singlehandedly like Glenn or Witten can. Crayton has enough speed that you better watch him, he can get open, and he'll catch EVERYTHING. He'll always move the sticks.
I think Crayton probably would've caught 5 or 6 passes last night. Crayton catching 5 or 6 passes usually means that we would've had 3 or 4 more first downs also.
I like Price fine, but right now, he's just not as good as Crayton IMO. Maybe he hasn't been given the role to show it yet either but I think Crayton's skills are very complimentary to our offense.

I think they are definitely going to have to figure out how to open up the offense and work more downfield again...not sure what the answer is on how to do it, but the run blocking is horrendous and we wont win most games only scoring one or two offensive tds (as has been the case vs Washington, Oakland, NYG, Seattle and Philly last night)

Price could be a significant part of that because he can get open downfield and has the speed to turn short to intermeidate balls into long gains...I also think they need to get Jason Witten involved more downfield

and its an even further indictment of how poor our OL is when the other team is doubling TWO players virtually every play (as Philly did with Glenn and Witten last night) and they still cant run block even at a mediocre level

We need to figure this out - The running game is not effective and Bledsoe is at his worst in the 3 step drops.

Have to design plays where Bledsoe can vertically challenge a D... PASS TO SET UP THE RUN MORE.

We don't agree often, but on this we have all year. I say this team has weapons and we need to turn them loose not hold them in check.

Philly at home and the Cardinals Parcells let it fly. Our 2 best games all year.

That's not an accident IMO.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED TO DO. Everyone knows that BP wants to run to set up the pass. Look at the game where we passed to set up the run....33-10 blowout. Teams are stuffing our running game. Passing first will pull the LBs and SS back and open a few more running lanes.

Running to set up the pass works well in HS and college...

OK Zoners.....some of you may get upset with this but IMO Crayton with his toughness over the middle and sure hands will become a much more valuable asset if he returns healthy.

Pierce will be extremely valuable, if Lord forbid something happens to Glenn because IMO Pierce would be the only other WR on the team who could stretch the field.

Anyone who saw him in Buffalo already knows what kind of talent he has. But as with most players, they need to be put in a position that best plays to their strength.

BTW any time table on when Crayton could get back to practice and then play?

Are you saying it was not effective running Emmitt for years to open up the pass?

You play to your roster strength, which right now appears to be passing.

Once Price and Bledsoe develop the rhythm they had in Buffalo, don't be surprised to see Peerless be a big target late in the year, and in the postseason.

The only problem with that is Crayton will be back soon. That means an even more limited role for Price.

That's 3 weeks away and that is if he is ready. Just like JuJo Crayton will have to work himself back in it is Price's position to lose.

Please no more roll outs with Bledsoe. On that pass to Keyshawn that almost got intercepted looked like Bledsoe was moving in slow motion.
